Trade deadline - what will we do?

Post by SeattleAddict » Mon Oct 31, 2022 8:40 pm

My Roquan Smith dream just ended - Ravens sending Bears a 2nd and 5th for him. Man, I think we should've made this deal. Maybe we couldn't because of salary cap, but damn... that would've made the defense whole.

Anyway, other rumors include Jets and Dolphins offering a 1st round pick for the Broncos' Chubb. Seems too pricey.

What will we do? MLB and C seem like the pieces that could use significant upgrades. Do we move anybody... like Sidney?

This team is way too good to even make the SB a good game. We should trade off a couple star players to give the AFC rep a chance.

You just said it yourself. We would've had to send over even more draft compensation if had wanted the salaries to fit our budget. And with only $31M going into next season, it's not looking better anytime soon, especially with Geno needing to get paid around +$20M per season.

That Jamal Adams trade fucks us some more.

This shows that $31 million estimated left places us fifth in the NFL, so not sure how in the world we are in bad shape?

But then I look at it again and realize I have no idea what the fuck this thing is trying to say. How are we fifth, but there are two teams lower than us with more cap space?

$31 million is actually 5th highest in the league. Plenty of space. This year it's pretty tight, but the Rams could've made it work.

Only $3M now though. Trade RW and don't sign any big name FAs and we are down to a pittance...
