Re: Rumors about Geno extension
All that matters in terms of a contract is the guaranteed amount. $30 mil seems reasonable to me so long as it's not guaranteed. It's up to him to earn it
Re: Rumors about Geno extension
I mean if he keeps playing well it is a win -win right. Franchise Him? That is a bit drastic.trharder wrote: ↑Tue Nov 15, 2022 3:03 amThe will extend him, but how much will it be?
Brock is thinking get it done now. Geno's stock could go up or down between now and the end of the season.
If you are Geno's agent, do you want to compromise now, or roll the dice he lights it up?
Would Schneider rather see what the rest of the season holds before extending, or would he rather compromise now?
But I agree we should probably extend pretty soon. I like the idea of going for it behind Geno.
If the Hawks pick up a Vita Vea to Donald level DT, Or a CHase Young- Cam Jordan type end
Then with the 3 other top 50s snag a good LB, interior O-Line, Edge if not #1 or BPA. Maybe you only get 2 of these and you trade one of these 3 to get that top draft pick to the elite Edge or Aaron Donald type DT. A disrupter to the front 7.Someone that demands double teams every play.

The part about Rodgers living in a tent in Kirkland drinking drink psychedelic tea on the weekend was pretty funny.

btw isn't "Former" agent synonymous with "Unsuccessful" agent?

Geno extension, here you go.Pharmabro wrote: ↑Tue Nov 15, 2022 12:37 amI have not heard any particulars but what is a fair price for all invloved?
I have seen others toy with the idea of grabbing a premier edge by moving up. Which I mean it would be amazing to add a premier D-Line Donald, Heyward, JOnes, Allen, Buckner, Vea, Reader////Bosa, Mack, Myles, Watt, Parsons, Cam Jordan
What ever this draft offers we probably should be able to get a big get
Hawks slate for something around the low 20s (22) right now
Bronco's 6 have a worse record 4 tied so somewhere near top 10 but probably more like 5-12 (7) right now
They also have 2 in the 2nd #42, and 53
3rd #85
4th 123
5th 147, 158
7th 197
4 basically top 50 picks? Nice. If we could get Geno to sign 10to15M/
What kind of a contract does Geno get?
TB12 IS IN THAT RANGE!

Re: Rumors about Geno extension
I'd still say Geno is worth $30M x3 and maybe more now. Given Geno's solid finish and his projected FA value of $36M per, it could be a challenge to have him sign such an offer now after a full season of success and a playoff birth.Cascade Kid wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 8:53 pmKJ Wright meantioned the other day that some players get a little blinded and hungry when they get that first big contract offer and jump on it just to get paid quickly. He said it happened to him too.
Perhaps Geno will be hungry enough to accept a $30M x3 year offer with half guaranteed which would be a bit below the 1 year $31.4M franchise tag offer that he might end up with next year and no guarantees.
At this point the only thing that may matter is his 'ask' price and a team's 'bid' price, unless the Hawks can get things wrapped up now and Geno desires to enjoy his well-earned riches in the off season. I don't see any good reason to wait any longer in signing him. Let's get it done!
