I had Arthur for almost 17 years and he was really only very sick the past few days. The joy outweighed the misery by about 1 million to 1. But yeah yesterday was the most intense pure misery I have ever felt in my life.

I took a look at the schedule and like SH am having a VERY hard time finding hardly any garbage time by that definition those stats have lost all credibility with me.SeattleAddict wrote: ↑Sat Jan 21, 2023 8:26 pmright?? down two scores with 10 minutes left is the OPPOSITE of garbage time. It's when the QB HAS to throw the ball and the defense KNOWS you have to throw. In a world of meaningless, made-up stats, that is the most meaningless.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat Jan 21, 2023 2:40 pmDown by two scores with ten minutes to go is garbage time? It usually means easy completions on underneath stuff for short to medium yardage. Prevent D (or Seahawk D as it's also known) is supposed to eat up time, not quarterbacks.SeattleAddict wrote: ↑Sat Jan 21, 2023 8:26 pmright?? down two scores with 10 minutes left is the OPPOSITE of garbage time. that criteria used is NOT prevent D, though. That's the problem. If it were truly a metric of garbage time against prevent D, then sure... but down 15 with 10 minutes left means the defense is speed rushing the passer with 15 DBs in coverage. It's not "prevent" it's "kill the QB".Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sat Jan 21, 2023 8:47 pmIt usually means easy completions on underneath stuff for short to medium yardage. Now, if they were to say down 17 pts with 2 minutes left, then the stat and your point would be valid.

Re: Rumors about Geno extension
Bob Stelton asked Ginnitti if he would be surprised if Smith’s new deal was for less than $30 million annually, especially if there were some bonuses and incentives he can earn.
“No, I wouldn’t … (Tom) Brady has done that forever, kind of restructured his contract every 18 months and built in some incentives that stay off the cap, but he ends up earning them in the long run and gets his cash at the end of the day. So it’s not inconceivable,” Ginnitti said. “I certainly understand the mindset there where a guy feels like he’s got to give a little bit back here. I’m just thinking from all angles here, and if I’m his agent, there’s no way I’m letting that happen. This is his one time to cash in.”

SB 51, Falcons up 16 points with 9 minutes to go and possession of the football...
Re: Rumors about Geno extension
To get back to Geno, I have one question. Is he worth $32 million a year?
Re: Rumors about Geno extension
Probably could sign Lock for 10% of that and have almost $30M in cap space to fill Grand Canyon that is the Front 7 on D.

Re: Rumors about Geno extension
Yeah, but then you have Lock for a QB. He looked like trash in the preseason, looked like trash in Denver, and every other time he played. Seems to be a pattern there. I would literally rather have a 4th round rookie and some grizzled old vet like Foles, Flacco, Dalton or Hoyer.
If Geno plays like he did this year, he IS worth $32 million. Well, in NFL QB terms he's worth that... I personally still think it's ridiculous what QBs are getting paid, but it's not my money. That is middle-of-the-road money for a QB, or slightly above (like 13th highest this year), but the average could change when Lamar signs for 80 billion. The question is, was 2022 an anomaly or who Geno really is?
