I have a very hard time believing the Hawks will take a corner when the significant need is beef on the DL. Especially with their past drafting corners. They're hosting guys for visits which says something about their thoughts on the position, but I think it'll be much more likely that they add a corner with their 2nd or 3rd pick, hence my Ringo selection.

Ringo just fits the physical profile they've lacked from their right side corner since the LOB days.
The reason I think a CB is possible is because of all the big DLs with 2nd round projections, and the fact we have 4 picks in the first 2 rounds. We don't have to take the beef FIRST... sometimes you get the side dishes taken care of, then add the beef and buns later.

finally had my first sim result (of about 50 or 60) where Stroud fell to 5. that was nice.

I had one where I traded back and Bryce Young fell down to 13.

I think that this is one of the most interesting drafts I have done. With the #5 pick Carolina offered their pick at 39, DT Derrick Brown, and Edge Brian Burns... so I took it. Starting to fill the defensive hole, I felt I could go BPA which was Bijan Robinson. I know this will infuriate the 90% pass crowd but he really will help us more than a 3rd WR will do. Here is the rest of the draft.

20. Bijan Robinson RB Texas SEA
37. John Michael Schmitz OC Minnesota
39. Mazi Smith DT Michigan
52. Jack Campbell LB Iowa
83. Keeanu Benton DT Wisconsin
123. Nick Hampton EDGE Appalachian State
151. Rejzohn Wright CB Oregon State
167. Andrei Iosivas WR Princeton
177.Anthony Bradford OG LSU
198. Roschon Johnson RB Texas

ED B.Burns
DT D.Brown

But now you need to come up with $20M more to cover Burns' and Brown's contracts. You'd also be fairly over-committed at DT based on your transactions along with what the Hawks already did in FA. But I do like some of the pieces you do have in your draft.

Pretty sure cutting Adams isn't all that cost effective.

Additionally the Texans could ill afford to trade Burns amid its current dire edge rushing needs.
