I read 3/51... but regardless, looks like a good pickup. A rare pass-rushing DT.
He should play Shelby Harris' position - is he THAT much of an upgrade?? I don't follow DTs enough to know more than what I am reading online.

He is 6 1/2 years younger than Shelby Harris having just turned 26 in January. Harris is going to be 32 in August.
The signing does free up a Seahawk draft selection to use at another position. I still hope for a dynamic Edge drafted early:

There's more, but now need a mauler DT to rip O Lines apart:

he's a DT, but not a NT. At 281 lbs he is more a fit for the DE in a 3-4, the Shelby Harris position. We still need a big guy in the middle, like Jalen Carter, but I like that he's young and has been consistent every year.
An interior guy getting 7 sacks/year is a big deal (he led denver in sacks last year, despite only playing 13 games). Jefferson had 5.5, Poona 3, Harris 2, and Woods 2 last year, to give you an indication how much this could upgrade the line.

We need a whole interior line. Step one.

Re: Welcome Dremont Jones
He was #1 on my big board as far as DL free agent signings go. I just didn't think we had a shot at him due to cap space! This definitely takes us out of the running for the Jalen Carter or Tyree Wilson sweepstakes. Will Anderson paired with Jones however would be amazing! I still would go AR15 before Anderson though, but I'd be happy either way. It's like 1A) or 1B) for me.SeattleAddict wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 1:47 amI read 3/51... but regardless, looks like a good pickup. A rare pass-rushing DT.

Great pick up! 6.5 sacks, 47 tackles, 10 QB hits, 9 TFLs. Did all of this and missed the last 4 games of the season.

Why draft a guy top 5 you know is not gonna play for quite a while. Trade down as far as you can. Somebody will want Carter. Shit go crazy & take another LB.Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 5:34 amHe was #1 on my big board as far as DL free agent signings go.
