So that guy says he's 5'10" also. You would think somewhere they would have him at 5'11" just to split the difference. I mean, 2 inches is significant.
That's what she said. :D

God damn it it matters! Is he 6 feet tall or 5'10" or somewhere in between??? Why is it so damned hard to get to the truth of things anymore?

Regardless, it sounds like he's got his work cut out for him.

somewhere in between. Figure this: there is NO WAY they will list him below what he is, so if he was really 6', they wouldn't list him at 5'10". I assume it goes by the man code of driver's licenses... if you're 5'10 1/4", you list yourself at 5'11"... so he's taller than 5'10" but shorter than 5'11 1/4"

My guess: 5'10 1/2", and he got measured with shoes one time at 6'0" and somebody ran with that.

Apparentlly, despite having a small wingspan, he has huge hands.

The team just announced that they have signed two new players: former Raiders defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. as well as nose tackle Forrest Merrill.

Mario Edwards Jr. had a 56.0 PFFgrade last year and a 50.4 in 2021. - useful pick-up given that their depth there sucks.
Forrest Merrill didn't even play last year and had a 31.9 PFF grade in 2021. - trash heap

Did you see our big FA signing's PFF rating?

So being 16 lbs fatter makes him a legit NT?
Let's say a guy weighs 300 pounds. Adding 16 pounds is like 5% of his body weight. That translates to 10 pounds for someone weighing 200 pounds. On a fit person, the extra weight is nearly nothing. And there is a good possibility on a 23 year old that extra weight is mostly muscle. Is there anything you like about Seattle Sports are you here just to be a Debbie Downer?

Seems to me strength is more important than weight at that size. Does a Center really notice whether a guy weighs 300lb or 315lbs or does he notice if the guy can knock him on his ass with sheer strength or not.
