Expectations for Hall Poll

If there was one pick that might be considered a reach it would probably be Hall. What are you guys expecting.

. TDN Consensus Grade: 85.00/100 (First-Round Value)

Parson Grade: 85.00/100
Hall has a long-shot chance at being a late first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, but he is more likely to be a second-round pick.
Earlier in the offseason, a handful of mock experts had him going No. 31 to the Kansas City Chiefs, so we’ll see if he does have late-first/high-second-round potential in the eyes of some franchises.
Why would he be considered a reach? Sounds like he needs coaching, doesn't have strong pass rush skills. I wouldn't figure a strong immediate impact
"A special athlete who flashed in 2020 before exploding in 2021, Derick Hall has the versatility, bend, length, and burst to be an elite pass rusher in the NFL. That said, he must seriously overhaul his pass rush plan and technique. He needs to learn to play to his skillset. He currently projects as a valuable developmental piece and designated pass rusher with special teams value."

Won't he be rotating with Taylor and Mafe? Might not get that many snaps.

I don't see how he's better than Mafe, and as such probably won't do more than he did last year.

He might end up being good, but the question was for his rookie season, so my expectations are low.

Mafe was taken 40th and Hall was taken 37th. Basically the same. I hope we get more out of Hall this season.

The guy thinks Hall > Taylor. Taylor has 16 sacks the past two seasons.
