Not as good as the 1956 original, Kevin MacCarthy in the role. Truly a classic of '50's political allegory. Directed by Don Siegel. Great director of that era, a man's director.

Siegel was instrumental in Clint Eastwoods career. He directed five of the early Eastwood movies, including Dirty Harry. He was a mentor to Eastwoods directing career

We used to go up to a smaller lake next to this one every summer back in the 70's. My mother' s side of the family is Canadian.
