Seems like it but past performance has zero impact on the future even though a lot of fans are convinced it does for some reason. btw we beat the Rams and Cards twice each last season. (Sorry THIS season) lolSeattleAddict wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 1:31 amwell it SHOULD be, but the fucking Rams always find a way to beat us (or close to it) even if they have 47 players on IR.D-train wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2023 9:52 pmIf Secretariat didn't have a jockey....Pretty much a lock for four wins. Just need to go 7-6 in the other 13 and be 11-6. That likely wins the division.SeattleAddict wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2023 9:37 pmSo the Cardinals could have cut him post June 1 and spread out the cap hit over 2 years but didn't. They took a dead cap 1/10th of the entire budget to just be done. They are very clearly tanking this season, as are the Rams.
This is a two-horse race. Unfortunately the horse we're up against kinda looks like Secretariat

From a FA speculation article
Leonard Floyd to the Seahawks
Seattle made sure to invest in its front seven this offseason, paying a pretty penny to add Dre'Mont Jones and reunite with Jarran Reed. But the Seahawks could still use some juice off the edge, and Floyd, a cap casualty of the rival Rams, has quietly posted at least nine sacks in three straight seasons. He could be a plug-and-play 3-4 outside linebacker for them.

we BARELY beat the Rams in nail biters, when they were fielding mostly practice squad players. That was my point - even when they suck we have a hard time with them.
And recent past performance DOES have impact on the future in pro sports - the teams coaches and players are largely the same, so if one team dominates another, there's generally reason for it. There might be 20 new players, but as long as Seahawk killers like Aaron Donald, Chandler Jones or Phillip Rivers are still there, there is a huge carryover.
Re: Cards release Hopkins
Sure, year to year but in Them giving us trouble in the Jeff Fisher years and the last two years is just coincidence. And in 2021 the went 12-5 and won the SB and beat us twice. Last season that went 5-12 and we beat them both games. That is the key driver. The games were close because we were a mediocre team and PC is our HC. We blow a team out about once every two years even when we are good.SeattleAddict wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 4:47 pmwe BARELY beat the Rams in nail biters, when they were fielding mostly practice squad players. After investing high/mid second round picks in Taylor and Mafe you gotta let them play and hope they produce while they're still cheap.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 2:03 pmFrom a FA speculation article

Just saying it's too early to give up on the deveopmental process with them. Hall will get his chances to prove it and Nwosu already has.
