If they could improve his arm strength and/or mechanics and give him great pass protection it sounds like he could succeed in the NFL. But holding on to the ball behind Seahawk O lines the past decade resulted in a more mobile QB in Wilson leading the league in sacks most years.

Plenty of vids of him on the internets. Maybe you are referring to seeing him play vs. NFL defenses.
Yeah, I don't care how he looks in highlights against Old Dominion and Coastal Carolina.

These comments caught my attention:

Ahlers is comfortable throwing on the run, and he puts excellent touch on his passes to all levels of the field.

If he’s facing pressure, Ahlers is willing to stand in the pocket and deliver with defenders in his face.

His scrambling will be less effective at the NFL level where defenders are faster and more disciplined. Ahlers’ mental clock will need to speed up on plays.

Ahlers plays too much hero ball. He needs to learn when to throw the ball away and live to fight another down. There are too many plays where he holds the ball too long in the pocket or scrambles around looking for an open man downfield when the best option is to throw the ball away.

Yeah I am usually a big fan of unheralded guys that were very productive in college but just watching him throw.....it just doesn't look like a NFL QBs throwing motion. Just odd looking.
Phillip Rivers. Steve Young.

The test for a wanna be NFL QB prospect in preseason is facing an unchecked pass rush that gets there in about 1.5 seconds.
We'll see what that looks like probably.

Sounds familiar.

Right. Will like never see him play vs. a #1 NFL defense.

This sounded promising...

Have we already found our sleeper QB of the future?

https://www.si.com/nfl/draft/news/holtonahlers

This doesn't seem like a Seneca, Tarvaris or random Jacob, Clipboard Jesus, Stan Gelbaugh fill-in sign or draft type of move for them. This guy is huge, a mud bone and is going to be about 25 or so next birthday.
Negative Captain... :) ;)

So they signed him yesterday and cut him today?

From yesterday
The Seattle Seahawks have their third QB! Or at least, they brought a third passer on as a member of the practice squad. Holton Ahlers is rejoining the team to help run the scout team offense, with some potential to get called up to the active roster on gameday. Brian Bailey reported the news earlier today.
That seems kinda cruel
