Not sure why JSN need a pep talk 2.5 games into his career but Geno delivered a good one.

it's a mystery why JSN hasn't gotten more targets. Advanced stat folks were posting that JSN is open by a wider margin than just about any WR in the NFL, but he's not getting targets. I assume a lot of it has to do with having 2 or 3 TE sets to help protect with the tackles out, with a side helping of DK and Lockett just being so damn reliable.

Maybe he's getting frustrated by it? I feel like he'll have a breakout game soon. Maybe he's a candidate for getting one of those infamous jet sweeps? Even if it's for the standard 2 yard gain, it gets him a touch.

Yep and he has had a better start to his career than Lockett. People will look back at this during the Holiday season and laugh about it ever being an issue.

I don't think so. Didn't Lockett run a kick back 100+ yards the first time he touched it? Then again? And again? He had a few catches, too.

I remember him having a HUGE impact to start to his career.

JSN has 9 receptions, 50% more than Lockett. Returns are irrelevant since he hasn't got that opportunity.

3 TD returns in 3 games is irrelevant? Lockett wasn't even supposed to be a receiver when he was drafted, so he didn't get THAT opportunity.

Lockett came in and had an enormous impact in his first 3 games. Saying 3 more receptions is somehow better than 3 kick return TDs is nuts.

Do you think JSN was pouting on the sidelines because he was upset about not getting Return opportunities?? Not relevant in regards to the point of the comparison. People have said he has had a disappointing start and someone said he has more catches than Lockett did his first three games and he did. End of story.

A two-time Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year, Lockett began his NFL career as NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for September 2015 when he scored both a punt and kickoff return touchdown in his first three games. He became the second rookie to win multiple Special Teams Player of the Month awards and was the only rookie to be named 1st team All Pro for the 2015 NFL season. He was selected to the 2015 Pro Football Writers Association (PFWA) NFL All-Rookie Team at three positions

I think it is fair to say that JSN should have blown away Lockett's numbers given he was an immediate starter and a 1st round pick but the point was that Lockett only had 6 receptions his first three games and he turned out to be a pretty good WR....
