I endorse the preceding post! A fair contract, no overpay or multi-year, incentives that can double the guaranteed money, and no doubt a solid extension right there in-house if he can stay healthy. And if he can't, we aren't immediately DOA at the position with competition right behind him on the depth chart.

A pretty much required get, given what they have assessed with Olu and others at center. Geno getting bull-rushed up the middle on passing plays and our inside running game shut down was a disaster waiting to happen. Maybe Geno getting dinged in training camp sealed the deal on the urgency for this move.

Carroll wouldn't have allowed Schneider to make this move because...

1. It isn't cool to spend money on o-line.
2. Olu is a cool dude and deserves a chance to show what he can do, just like Hunt, Blythe and Brown did.
3. It isn't cool to have a center that doesn't get pushed into the backfield on every pass play.

Carroll isn't here any longer and JS was running out the cheapest OL in the NFL. And I don't think this signing changes that

Great stuff by big Ray Roberts and Brock on mynorthwest.com

Going from Harris and Olu to Williams is a MASSIVE upgrade especially with run blocking...

I'll check that out. I've been listening to some mom's basement pundits mentioning Olu rotating in at left guard perhaps to keep him in the mix with reps. What do you think?

Yeah why not. Laken is more Laken Erie than Laken Superior in terms of impact based on his recent past.
