Injury Report
Injury Report
I hate to see Walker out when he's the one that provided a little spark last week.
Re: Injury Report
Especially vs. the Pats D. I am praying the Bengals are just Bad like Michael suggests.

Re: Injury Report
Only three 'experts' picking the Pats.
Re: Injury Report
Does anyone know anything about the Pats. I know they beat the Bengals in a huge upset but:
QB Jacoby Brisett, (Maye) Center Andrews, and TE Hunter Harvey& Hooper are the only players I have ever heard of.
Defense: Nobody
New head coach.
Jacoby was at 62% and 120 yards of passing.

Re: Injury Report
Coincidentally both teams have rookie HCs. And for all the fawning over McDonald's defense Mayo's Might not be that bad either. Looks like an interesting matchup,
In a matchup between two of the best defenses in Week 1, between the two 30-something head coaches who've spent their careers on the defensive side of the ball, the Patriots may hope that whichever defense shines brightest -- and tackles best -- on Sunday at Gillette Stadium will come away with a second win in as many weeks. While Mayo's team excelled in that area to start the season, Mike Macdonald's Seahawks missed 11 tackles in their win over Denver.
As much as their willingness to use an extra offensive lineman and run the football defined what head coach Jerod Mayo wants the Patriots to be -- a team that wins with physicality and fundamentals -- on the other side of the ball, New England's tackling did the same. Pro Football Focus ranked the Patriots as the second-best tackling group in Week 1 behind only the Lions.[/quote
And on the other hand...You may catch the football on us, DeMarcus Covington's defense seemed to say, but you won't be getting far after the fact. The Patriots had the third-best yards-after-catch figure allowed in the NFL's season-opening week (3.4 yards) with a rally-to-the-ball mindset that featured big hits from players across their defense.
That's interesting, I assumed he had basically continued Martindale's approachNFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah, former scout for the Ravens, Eagles and Browns, is a fan of the personnel playing on the defensive side in Seattle. But third-year pass-rusher Boye Mafe -- a second-round pick out of Minnesota in 2022 -- ranks right at the top of the list.
"I'd like to buy all of the Boye Mafe stock that's available," Jeremiah posted Monday on Twitter/X. "He's on the cusp of being a superstar. He plays at a different speed, and he's starting to learn how to rush the passer."Interesting article, for as has been as yahoo seems to be, I find their sports coverage good, that and CBS sports...The reason Macdonald was such a highly-coveted head-coaching candidate this past offseason was because he was the mastermind behind the shifts in philosophy in Baltimore that yielded the best defense in football.
They went from a man-to-man-heavy scheme that blitzed more than any team in football under Wink Martindale to a shape-shifting defense that used a multitude of coverages and deception -- not an overwhelming number of rushers -- to generate pressure.

I wasn't looking forward to an interesting matchup. I was hoping for victory #2 over a shitty team.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 1:07 pmCoincidentally both teams have rookie HCs. This sounds like a lot of 3-and-outs by the Seahawk offense. Hopefully this is fake news.
Re: Injury Report
decent power RB in Rhamondre Stevenson, who also catches a lot of checkdowns. expect them to pound him a lot, particularly as that is the Hawks greatest weakness defensively. very little "skill position" talent to scare you though, so with our premier corners we should be able to stack the box you would think.Pharmabro wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 8:47 amDoes anyone know anything about the Pats. Re: Injury Report
Started reminiscing about 3 yards in a cloud of dust. This is about a book Woody Hayes wrote in 1957 on coaching football, reminds me of Jerry dipotos 54% comment lol
.We use the word consistency to denote the success of a play..FOR A PLAY TO BE CONSISTENT IT HAS TO BE ONE WHICH HAS GAINED AT LEAST THREE YARDS!".... he went on to state that since one of the 3 plays will more than likely gain more than just 3 yards, the net result will be the possession of the ball!
Re: Injury Report
Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III is officially INACTIVE, meaning Zach Charbonnet will start in his place against the Patriots.
