I generally believe in letting a market sort itself out, but this is too stupid to allow to stand.
Paul Allen wouldn't have wanted this shit.
You can't prevent people from selling tickets, but you shouldn't have to let them renew for the next season.

You can't prevent people from selling tickets, but you shouldn't have to let them renew for the next season.

The problem is the ticket prices are unreal. I had 2 club seats back in 07-10 and they cost 3k total. I gave those up and got tickets again a few years back - had to start with the cheap 300 level seats. 2 seats there was 2k and I sold them all season long as I didn't want to go to those shi**y seats. When I finally got back to where I could get club seats again 2-3 years later they were about 7k total for 2 seats - and I wasn't on the 50 yard line or anything like that - I was way out on the fringe 10 yard line to endzone. That's insane for the cost. So what you have happening is people buy the tickets and end up selling half/more just to make up most of the cost and get it to a reasonable amount for the year. People aren't doing it to make money - trust me - the official reseller site has thousands of tickets for sale and everyone keeps going down to the lowest price so they can get them sold so it just keeps going down - you are lucky if you sell your seat for cost.

The people that can afford to go aren't the die hard fans. Die hard fans that still have tickets can only afford the tickets if they sell some or most of them. The wrong people are being blamed here. Why would I want to spend that kind of money...parking, food, beer and seats...not to mention the gas and time to drive there, ridiculous lines for food and beer and the pisser...when I could just sit on my couch, pee when ever I want, have my own food and beer and be far more comfortable?

The organization priced out the real fan, and now wants to complain that it happened.

It's not the organization it's sports in general. I looked at prices. As I read it the Seahawks actually have the best deal in the NFL. A non transferable seat for $100. A $100 to see a game? The entire process has shifted in my mind. It's corporations that are supporting ticket prices. When I was young I could afford to go to a Sonics or even a Seahawks game. But then it became getting tickets through where a buddy worked. It was business to business

Don't spend the money. Fine by me. It's the locking up season tickets only to turn them loose to opposing fans that
has me chapped. If you can only afford one or two games a year, great, buy single-game tickets.
I say this with the thought there's still a waiting list for season tickets. Presumably the people on the waiting list
actually want to attend the games.

I guess I need to come to grips that it will never be the same. I've never had season tickets, but I went to a lot of
games back when the 12th man narrative was formed. It was a real thing. I was there for Beastquake.
I was there for Sherm's tip. For example, at the beginning of the "Tip Game" NFC Championship, the stadium energy
was so absolutely jacked that RW fumbled the first snap. Yes, that was a great team and it's easier to see fandom
hit new heights with a team like that, but people didn't laugh at the thought of fans affecting the game back then.

So, you think it would be less money just buying two or three single game tickets than it would be keeping the season tickets you have and selling five of them and going to three? I am not sure that's the case. You are telling people how to spend their money. I have no idea, but my guess is if I have 8 season tickets, and I sell five of them? It's more money in my pocket than if I let the tickets go and just buy three singles.

The math probably does change from going to one, two or three games, but fuck!!!!!!
I'm not talking about the fucking money. god damn. I'm talking about not letting 40% or more of the stadium
being taken up by the opposing team's fans!
