So both FA LBs now gone. Dude had a 66.5 PFF rating. Crazy.

From day 1 - I saw pics of these linebackers the Hawks were going to start with and I was like these dudes are not built like linebackers at all - How did MM sign off on this mess ?

The Seattle Seahawks announced three moves, including officially cutting LB Tyrel Dodson and signing TE N’Keal Harry to the practice squad.
Seahawks CB Josh Jobe was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster.

Who knows? Perhaps cutting him frees up more cap space. Seems odd that an above avg back-up ILB wouldn't get back a draft pick that is worth more than whatever amount of cap space they are saving.

Looks like trading a player generally results in greater cap savings than cutting him. So yeah, why didn't JS trade him?

They highlighted that they were good in coverage. And remember the guy they drafted right behind Brooks was a 220# Patrick Queen in Baltimore. So, I am assuming they thought they could strengthen Pass D, and nobody would see the run-D as being diminished?
