Offense or Defense

2-0 speaks for itself. It's a great start that allows for the customary stumble or two with a minimum of pain. A good place to be.
Seahawk fans are used to heart-thumper close games. I personally would prefer to have more blow-out victories, but whatever.
As Seahawk fans we are also pretty spoiled that our team has been very competitive for quite awhile, so sometimes our conversation seems
more negative than the team's actual record would suggest. I'm very guilty at times.
I'm curious where members of this forum are on the current conversation of "concerns" also called bitches and complaints.
I see on another forum where people continue to point to the O-line as the biggest weakness, while saying the defense is playing good.
Personally I'm not happy at all with the defense. I see missed tackles leading to painful big play in the opponents run game and very sketchy
secondary play. I've come to expect the offense to struggle (especially early) and have been brain washed into thinking it's by Pete Carroll design.
When the offense doesn't completely suck, I expect the defense to hold. Period. Usually the O-line conversation somehow circles around to
RW and his playing style. If half the blame historically placed on RW is true, it's probably still true 50%. But currently RW is hard to fault.

Oline to me is a major concern, especially if Fluker misses any time. How Ifedi maintains his job is beyond me. I'm scared about the secondary but I also think the returns of Ford, Ansah and Reed will improve that. When the pass rush is weak, it's going to make the secondary look worse then they really are

I thought the D was great yesterday. If it wasn't for the turnovers and fluky flea flicker the probably hold them under 10 points.

If Schottenheimer can pull his head out of his ass and stop scripting plays that result in Wilson getting rocked repeatedly early in games then perhaps that could mitigate some of the issues on the right side of the line.

The offense is flat out offensive and there's no defending that defense.

I thought schotty called a good game. After the oline fails in the first half, he changed it up and went to a more quick strike approach using a lot of backs in the flat type stuff and kept the defense off balance. I though he did an excellent job of making adjustments. If not for penalties and fumbles, this offense probably hangs close to 40 on Pitt. scoring 28 on the road, despite all the mistakes - is pretty damn good. RW deserves a LOT of credit here, but give shotty credit too. He's better than you think.

Yep, other than the end of second half calls for the 3 yard passes with no TOs with less than a minute left, I couldn't be happier. And I am fully on board for the RW for MVP. Its his time.

Well, he's better than Bevel anyway. All the same, i don't know why he couldn't see fairly early on that the Steelers were doing shit at the LOS that was resulting in players running unblocked into the backfield and make some adjustments then.

The right side of the line is a concern, and the problem we have stopping the screen game on defense is kind of troubling. I imagine we see one flea flicker per game until we show any ability to stop it....but those are hardly bitches.

Right, but you do get how this works, right? The defensive coordinator draws up schemes to stop Seattle's strengths and tendencies. They know what Seattle likes to do, it's not rocket science. Sometimes they are doing things that we haven't seen before. You cannot adjust in seconds - it takes a beat to figure out what they are doing (differently) and then figure out your best counter measure. It's a total chess match. It's the most interesting part of the games, IMO. Wilson also has a long leash to make adjustments on the fly as well. Give Pitt props for having a good scheme out of the gate, and credit Seattle for making the proper adjustments.
