Huskies vs. Denver
Huskies vs. Denver
1st game I have watched in forever. They looked impressive other than Steinbach missing like 5 bunnies.

Sounds like they have some talent, and now that they don't play in a Conference with the worst Television deal in the history of sports? I might watch a few games. Last night I was all sported out when I tried to suffer through two quarters of Broncos versus Raiders. The Thursday night experience needs to end. It's just shitty fucking football. I let the wife have the TV.

That is the first Thursday night game I have watched and that was my reward. My God. I posted why is TNF so bad and got several replies that it has actually been really good this season.Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Nov 07, 2025 4:15 pmSounds like they have some talent, and now that they don't play in a Conference with the worst Television deal in the history of sports? They lost to Baylor and I've got to say, I just don't think Sprinkle is much of a coach.
All last year defenses fronted the living shit out of Great. All Baylor did was the same to the kid from Germany... no answer at all.
They don't have anyone who can shoot 3's either. It's just a bunch of athletes passing the ball around and driving into double teams.

Last night vs the Cougs was more of the same...Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Tue Nov 11, 2025 5:07 pmThey lost to Baylor and I've got to say, I just don't think Sprinkle is much of a coach.

The Dawgs led by 21 with 8 mins to go in the game and let a very bad WSU crawl back in.
Wesley Yates is an interesting player. He caught fire for the first 75% of the game and then couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat in the final 10. He was truly their only weapon from 3 on the night and even so, he has a hitch in his shot that's going to make him very inconsistent.
Again, finding ways to get effective looks for any of their bigs, especially Steinbach, was an issue. The offense they run is very perimeter heavy... relying on motion to hopefully set up a lane for a guard to drive. When it's not there... holy shit it goes south quick.
Zoom Diallo has made some nice strides in his game. He looked awful in game no. 2 of the season, but the last couple he's shown an improved mid-range game that he didn't have last year due to some really bad shot mechanics that have been fixed.
Idk man... lots of good athletes, but very, very poor basketball a good portion of the time.

Re: Huskies vs. Denver
Without their star big man, the Huskies needed overtime to win 99-96 vs Southern University. The Dawgs trailed by 11 pts with 18 mins to go in the game.
Not good at all.
Other power 5 programs had little effort finishing Southern off.
Again, I question Sprinkle's ability to coach.
