But I'm not really that shook up about it. Demond is a good, not great QB. He's a very athletic runner, but his feel for when to run needs a lot of work as his pocket clock is horrible. He took a lot of unneeded sacks due to this problem alongside struggles with going down to ankle tackles. He really regressed as a passer as the season wore on as well - missed multiple wide-open throws that really hurt UW. To me, he's more of an athlete playing QB and his feel for playing the position really holds him back.

Fifita is a similar type player, i was surprised that he didnt come with Fisch originally. Havent seen him for a couple years, but from his early play I'd say lower ceiling but also a lower floor than Demond.

Yep agree with all that other than I have no idea who Fifita is. lol

College Football is a complete joke. I think I might take a step back from investing my time in it until they get their act together. I am already there with Basketball. Haven't watched a game in about 5 years.

The whole draw of college football is that it is attached to your school. You share some degree of community and common experience with the players. It's appeal lies in the loyalty and affinity of that association. Currently its nothing but a poorly ran semi-pro league with one year contracts. There is zero ability to develop any kind of continuity and follow the players development through their years at the university. Even if the Huskies were to win a National championship the whole thing would ring hollow because it would have been done by a bunch of mercenaries who barely set foot on my campus. They aren't real Huskies. Its basically like an independent Minor League Baseball League with a lot more money. There is no reason for me to watch something like that when I can just watch the NFL.

UW thinks it is legally binding and will sue. I mean what is the point of having contracts if they aren't binding. The timing of his post was tone deaf due it it being during the funeral but means nothing other than him getting even more hate than he would have but is irrelevant in the long run because he is gone. But either LSU will have to pay a settlement for tampering or Williams will be required to pay a portion of his new deal or both or those contracts will cease to exist if they aren't binding.

I couldn't agree more. Some of my buddies and I were texting last night about this, and I said that college football has become the NBA to me. I might watch a little in the playoffs. I bet I watched three Husky games this year, and next year it'll be fewer. I have so far watched parts of two college football playoff games. It's a complete joke, and the NCAA deserves this....because they are ridiculously selfish old men that made this bed and now have to lie in it.

You don't get to get rich off the backs of these guys for years, and then not expect something like this to happen.

I am able to totally separate the two when watching games which seem as good or better than ever. I can name every Seahawk starter and the vast majority of the roster but never have been able to name more than a few Husky players other then the skill position players and a stud or two on D even before NIL because there there was always so much turnover due to graduation. I still watch and root for them as I always have. I only lose interest once there is zero chance for a significant post season for them.

The old men were selfish pre NIL, now they are just idiotic for not implementing a better more structured system to prevent loopholes and ensure more fairness and less chaos.

Like I said the contract is binding and UW is refusing to enter his name in the Portal because of it.
