I can't stand the late start times. I would think the players don't appreciate it much either. I heard Slick Rick Neuheisel on KJR last week saying he much preferred the old 12pm start times.

It was a Bowl game, but I 100% can't remember which one or against who. I remember the Apple Cup though!
I think it was the Vegas Bowl, because I remember saying I needed to buy tickets early in the season when it was obvious we weren't going far!

Wasn't it the Pepto Dismal Bowl vs. Faber College? Honestly have no recollection of any bowl game. If we were in one i'd assume it was against a mediocre Big Ten school but none of them rings a bell.

I am being serious...I am sure I watched it, but don't remember a damn bit! I can't even remember if Petersen coached or not!Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 5:54 amWasn't it the Pepto Dismal Bowl vs. Faber College? Honestly have no recollection of any bowl game. Reminds me of the movie Witches of Eastwick when nobody could remember Jack Nicholson's character's name. LOL

Same here, although i'm pretty sure Petersen wasn't there. Are we sure they actually played in a bowl game? I looked at a list of Big Ten schools and none of them rang a bell. So we either played an independent or a non-power-5 conference team or possibly a Big 12.Michael K. wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 5:20 pmI am being serious...I am sure I watched it, but don't remember a damn bit! I had to Google. We beat up on Boise St in the Vegas Bowl. And it looks like Petersen coached.
I remember it now...we looked real good. I didn't get to watch that closely as we had a bunch of friends over for a Christmas party.

Wow, i thought i remembered Petersen stepping down after the Apple Cup. But now that you mention it, i also recall the oddity of CP ending his career coaching against the school where he made his name. Still don't remember the game though. I doubt i watched it.

Re: Who plays QB?
I am kind of torn. I enjoyed being at a late game, but it makes it difficult for someone like me that has to travel...and not sure I want to be over night in Seattle any time soon. May the Embassy Suites in Bellevue? Watching on TV it is pretty cool, thought I did grow tired of the Huskies playing late pretty much every week because they were the only television draw that doofus Scott could provide! Jesus, as successful as we were during that three year stretch while Browning and Gaskin were Sophomores through Seniors, it sure seems we left some meet on the bones! That class should have never lost to Oregon, yet went 2 and 2!Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 3:36 amI can't stand the late start times. Back on topic, if there even is a game on Saturday night, who plays QB? My hope is Sirmon...not sure why. Probably no other reason than the kid stuck it out here. If he loses out to another transfer? It was one thing with Eason...local boy who was a recruit before, but some kid for South Atlantic Sacramento State University College...or where ever the Hell he is from? My guess is losing out to Eason from the University of Georgia who was the State player of the year here was a bit different.
