Yep, I have said it since last year. Morris isn't the man, and the fact that a DC at Montana figured it out before our coaches? And you are correct, running of 3rd and 5 so you can run on 4th and 4? Criminal. The kid that got the taunting call and our coaching staff should have been walking home, IMO.AZOldDawg wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 3:56 pmAt the very least Donovan should be sent packing. I've seen more imaginative offenses in Grid Kids. Don't even get me started on the 4th down calls. If you claim you have the players on both sides of the ball and the schemes don't work it doesn't take rocket science to change the schemes. Dylan might be the kid you would love to have marry your daughter but what I perceive to be his lack of arm strength allows the defense to defend a much smaller field plus have an extra count to close on most throws. I'd rather take my chances with Sam throwing ropes and learning to make decisions under fire.
It won't happen, but Lake needs to be fired right now.

Yeah, he recruited the kids, hired the coaches and has final say on the game plan so who else would be blame for this shit show.

USC just fired Helton. Maybe Jen will be emboldened by that and do what needs to be done. But, i guess you have to give Lake at least one full season (to destroy the program).

It was a bold move, and the right move....but a year or two too late. Let's hope that doesn't happen here. I have no idea how much of his contract they would have to buy out, but it took Sarkisian how many years to even get to 7 wins after what Paint Dry Ty did to the program? Those teams were much worse to start. The drop off under Lake has been like straight off a cliff!Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 9:26 pmUSC just fired Helton. Even if I didn't hate him for all the chest thumping he does about him when they win, and the finger pointing when they lose, even though he finally came out last week on Monday and took SOME blame. This is bad, and he is a jerk, IMO. There is a reason the recruiting is down and our best receivers left...and it was all ignorance and arrogance on Lake's part. The two coordinators he hired have no business being coordinators in the Pac 12, and certainly not on a team that has won as many conference championships later as we have.

Chris Peterson is a candidate to replace Helton:

WTF? So his expanation of why he was stepping down at UW was a load of crap?Chris Petersen, former Boise State coach: I'm told Petersen wants back in, bad. Petersen's came up prominently in the past when USC coaches were on the hot seat. Like Stoops, he's currently biding his time as a TV analyst
