Why does he have a reputation for jumping ship and going from HC job to HC job????? He has done it a grand total of ONE time. From Arizona who was leaving the P12 to UW who would joining the B10. 100% of coaches would do that.
I think its more of the stuff that happened before he became a head coach. He hasn't been a guy like Ryan Grubb who has been with one coach and one system for decades. Like the Johnny Cash song Hes been everywhere man. He has had 17 different coaching jobs in 28 years. he had one 4 year stint in Baltimore as an offensive assistant back in 04-07. Other than that he had never been anywhere longer than 2 years until he took the Arizona job. That kind of gives the impression that he is a guy who is always looking to climb the ladder and never content to be where he is. I have zero doubt that if he has success here he will move on. I just don't think it will be this year. I actually suspect he would rather be in the NFL. If he manages to get this team to a couple of Playoffs I could see him trying to make that move.

If he gets us to a couple of playoffs, I think most of us would consider that a fair trade. I've been much happier with the direction of this team of late. I realize we lost to Oregon, but I actually thought we played pretty well and that every break and call went against us. Maybe that was me watching with Purple glasses on, but the gap between us and them didn't seem as large. They beat us up front on defense, but I do believe we did a real good job of doing that to them as well. They could NOT run the ball on us, and that was great to see.

Yeah I was thinking NFL too. FAR more likely than him laying awake at night sentimentally longing to go back to his alma mater that is no longer even close to a top tier program.

On that side the East Side is ALWAYS Kirkland, Redmond and Bellevue. This here and pretty much anywhere east of the Cascades is called Eastern Washington. Funny.

I'd say you guys live in Central Washington. Somewhere between the mountains and the desert.
