Washington State have been a fairly effective passing attack for quite a while. However, their running game is starting to find its footing. The Cougars rushed for 301 yards, including 197 from quarterback John Mateer, a program record for a quarterback.
"They kept dropping eight on us [in coverage], you know. So we just ran the ball, and it was working, and the o-line was getting after it," Mateer said postgame
Instead of dropping so many players into coverage, UW will likely need to keep a few more in the box in anticipation of WSU trying their luck with the run game again between Mateer, freshman running back Wayshawn Parker, and more.

It's at Lumen field, so that makes it a neutral field? ...197 yards?
Re: Huskies ranked 10 in Big 10 Media poll
4 miles from Husky stadium. So if they playing in Armstrong WA would that be a neutral site?

All about money, and not enough of that can be made at Martin Stadium.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 2:18 am4 miles from Husky stadium. So if they playing in Armstrong WA would that be a neutral site?

There is no built in season ticket base at a neutral site game. Tickets are first come first serve and there are probably almost as many Coug fans in Seattle as Husky fans. Many of them are jaded by everything that went down so I don't know if they will turn out.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 2:18 am4 miles from Husky stadium. Re: Huskies ranked 10 in Big 10 Media poll
Population of Western WA is 6 million and the population of Eastern WA is 1.6M. Only Coug fans in Western WA are students, alumni and family of Alumni.
Also there are 46k students at UW and only 29k at WSU.
I bet there are at least 500k more Husky fans than Coug fans within 100 miles of Lumen field.

Where do you think WSU Alumni go to work when they graduate? 90% of them come to the west side where the jobs are. Also, I would bet that there is a significantly higher percentage of WSU Alumni that are football fans than UW Alumni. I know lots of UW alums that have never watched a football game in their life.D-train wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 1:16 amPopulation of Western WA is 6 million and the population of Eastern WA is 1.6M. Well, I held my nose and signed back up with Peacock again. Watching the Apple Cup (is it still called that?) on free TV
should be a birthright for a citizen of WA State.

Fucking an A right.
I wonder if you ask Harris to make this a law she would try to campaign in Washington state on this stance.

I can't believe you hang with Weirdo libs UW grads. What do they do, sit around a radio listening to NPR's outrage about Climate change while drinking soy milk?Captain 97 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 3:44 pmWhere do you think WSU Alumni go to work when they graduate? 90% of them come to the west side where the jobs are. you missed the point. Lumen field is not a neutral site just like the Rams playing in Santa Clara. Same distance. Would you say the Rams playing in Santa Clara is a neutral site because they are the SF 49ers. No you would not.Michael K. wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 3:09 amAll about money, and not enough of that can be made at Martin Stadium.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 2:18 am4 miles from Husky stadium.
