I'm guessing many of Colorado's players have thrown in the towel. Probably got tired of their coach calling them losers.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 12:57 amWell AZ only beat Colorado by 10 last week and WSU beat them by 42 today so that means WSU is better right.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 12:30 amOregon making it look easy vs ASU, but we're clearly better than them.
Heck, based on what Arizona did to Utah i'm not sure it would be unreasonable to say UW is currently the 3rd best team in the conference

I heard the Bremerton Navy had a lot of 5 star Recruits and the Ballard Meteors had a Heisman Candidate at QB!Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 6:25 pmHey, at least they didn't stoop to going up against a Junior High or Pee-Wee League team.Michael K. wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 6:20 pmI just have a hard time putting a head coach that made a final 4 in the modern era beneath a guy that played HS teams.

Haha, on another note.
Last night, early in the 2nd quarter we scored to go up 12. Smartly kicked the extra point. But? Right before the half, same scenario? Went for two...and failed.
Fast forward to the end of the game...and the Beavers get it back down two. A FG wins it. I am so tired of coaches passing on one point early in games. Sorry, it isn't a given you are getting two...but it pretty much is a given that you are getting one. Had they lost on a FG last night? I guarantee you that very few would have pointed out the fact that they flipped the bird to an easy point in the first half.

Right? They hardly played any games, and half were against scrubs. Just no comparison to what James, Pete and DeBoer go through.D-train wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 6:49 pmI heard the Bremerton Navy had a lot of 5 star Recruits and the Ballard Meteors had a Heisman Candidate at QB!Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 6:25 pmHey, at least they didn't stoop to going up against a Junior High or Pee-Wee League team.Michael K. wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 6:20 pmI just have a hard time putting a head coach that made a final 4 in the modern era beneath a guy that played HS teams.

It's amusing looking at who all the schools played 110 years ago. There were lots of:D-train wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 6:49 pmI heard the Bremerton Navy had a lot of 5 star Recruits and the Ballard Meteors had a Heisman Candidate at QB!Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 6:25 pmHey, at least they didn't stoop to going up against a Junior High or Pee-Wee League team.Michael K. wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 6:20 pmI just have a hard time putting a head coach that made a final 4 in the modern era beneath a guy that played HS teams.

Yeah I looked up the Ballard Meteors (great nickname btw) They were a semi Pro team. I wonder how much the players got paid? 7 cents a game?Walla Walla Dawg II wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 9:48 pmIt's amusing looking at who all the schools played 110 years ago. Semi Pro means nothing. Wenatchee used to have a team. Non of those guys made money. They pay for EVERYTHING themselves. So, I used to tell them..."then I guess I am a semi-pro softball player!". Years ago, after games in our Rec Leagues, we could all say we were semi-pro because someone else could have been buying the pitchers!

It isn't often that I am at a loss for words, but this is one of those times.
Oh, I got it.
Wasn't Michael at the game.....
