Cougs got destroyed by the 17th best team in Texas, North Texas Mean Green who barely beat Western Michigan 33-30 in OT the prior week. 59-10 LMAO
PULLMAN -- Washington State is a 20 1/2-point underdog for this Saturday's Apple Cup game in Pullman, according to some betting outlets. The large spread isn't surprising given the Cougars just got obliterated by North Texas and Washington is a 2-0 Big Ten team. Kickoff is at 4:30 p.m. with TV coverage on CBS. Is the line too high?
Maybe. There is still the home field factor and UW coach Jedd Fisch still has not yet won a game on the road while at Washington.
But while the Huskies pulled away from Colorado State and crushed UC Davis, Wazzu survived Idaho, took care of San Diego State, and then got destroyed by UNT.

Offensively we appear to be well oiled but defensively I doubt we are Big 10 competitive. Hope I'm wrong.

Great idea scheduling the Apple Cup opposite a Mariners game.

Both teams on the road. Not much they could do. You don't have a precious channel button on your remote? LOL

YoutubeTV doesn't have Root. I have to watch it on my computer or broadcast it to the TV so I watched the M's on my computer and the AC on TV.

We usually just drag my son's TV out of his room, but he was at the Homecoming dance, and since I had to record the AC? I just had the Mariner game on the iPad.

I realize we were missing a few guys on defense but the Cougs pretty much threw it at will against us for 277 yards. They couldn't stop us on offense but if they had any semblance of a running game that game would have been too close for comfort. I am not feeling good about this upcoming game. I don't think this D will be able to slow down the Buckeyes one bit.

You are probably right, but getting whooped by the Buckeyes doesn't exactly put us in terrible company.
They haven't played anyone this year since beating Texas, but last year in the playoffs they beat Tennessee 42-17, Oregon 41 to 21, Texas 28 to 14 and Notre Dame 34 to 23.
Prior to that they beat the same Indiana team that whooped us 38 to 15. The same Iowa team that whooped us 35 to 7. It's a pretty long list of teams they took behind the wood shed besides a close win over Penn State and a loss to Oregon because Dan Lanning found a loophole. Not saying it'll be fun, but losing to Ohio State, even in blowout fashion? Might not tell us a lot about where we stand.

Agreed, our expectations of this team probably has a ceiling of two or three losses and this should be one of them. We're at home which for UW is as big as a home-field advantage gets so they should at least compete.
