No game thread? No defense either.

We just punted mid second quarter. First punt of the game....and we'll probably never lead again either. This is a terrible defense.

I'm done. Not sure what's worse, the officiating or this defense. Go to Florida Fisch.

I thought Fisch was supposed to be good?

Illinois last TD doesn't count because of the worst PI call ever, so in real life the Huskies are up 21-10 at the half.

Sucks that we were just in the NC game and yet the traditional Big Ten teams get all the bad calls in their favor, including in the aforementioned NC game.

So despite having two INTs literally changed to Illinois TDs and 15 totally free points, the Dawgs win by 17. VERY nice win today.

I should probably temper my frustrations. Last year he was rather handicapped....but the lack of discipline annoyed me. There is just something about him that I am uneasy about. Doesn't he look like he should be teaching Econ at PLU and not football at the U of W?

That said, with the exception of OSU at home and at the Big House? This Husky team has come out in the second half and dominated. This was a good win.

Mister hotshot sports betting guru Marc James of KJR advised people before the season to put money on Illinois as a sleeper pick to make the playoffs lol.

Yes, total lack of discipline on last year's team, but all told a decent season given what he started with. Seems measurably better this year, but Fisch is not the kind of guy to inspire a lot of confidence in that regard - he's good at recruiting and playcalling but not great leadership. Millen was on his case earlier this year for deflecting personal criticism and not taking responsibility for poor in-game decisions and/or unsound schemes. The good news is they have a lot of underclassmen contributors who seem to be buttoned up leader types, so even if the coach is deficient that way they can still remain competitive.
