When I was attending back in the 60's one of the Frat's had a great sign showing a Husky lifting it's leg on a Duck

i grew up in Eugene pre-Knight when both teams were always terrible. but 1983 topped them all when they played to a 0 - 0 tie. mercifully no OT back then.

Why was it ever called the Civil War to begin with? Doesn't make sense to me on any level.
