They refused to run the football, and the way they were able to spread us out? If they had just run it a bit, kept us honest? Look at who beats us? Teams that run the football against our stupid ass 3-2-6 defense!But here’s where the obvious adjectives begin to break down. Because, in UW’s 31-26 loss to Stanford on Saturday, the Huskies allowed at least 4.8 yards per carry for the third time in four games this season. And in those three games — against Oregon State, Utah and Stanford, excluding winless Arizona — the Huskies have surrendered an average of 191 rushing yards and 4.94 yards per carry.
Look, Vita Vea, Greg Gaines and Danny Shelton aren't showing up any time soon. This three man line thing is ridiculous. Hard hitting run supporting Safeties aren't showing up any time soon. When is the last time Asa Tuner and his 175 lb body made a tackle that wasn't five yards deep in the endzone!? This scheme is pathetic, and they don't have the athletes to run it.

When you give those pass rushers zero support because you have one middle LB that is average and another that doesn't belong on a Pac 12 field, that isn't effective? This was a decent article...but he didn't really call out Lake the way he should have. Pointing out what the OLBs didn't do is one thing, but let's point out that in just about every loss since Petersen took over we have been grossly man handled by a team that took one look at Jimmy's defense and laughed, as they pounded our faces into the turf!
Game plan...doing what you do is one thing, doing what you do that is exactly what the other team WANTS you to do? Is another. He needs to get off his ass, stop puffing his chest out about all the DBs he gets to the league, and start recruiting some guys up front that can stop the bleeding. The funny thing? The way his defense gets beat is exactly the way he wants to beat other teams when we have the ball. The problem is, other teams run a defense that will stop it and our O Line is not very good!
