NIT

Post by Walla Walla Dawg II » Mon Mar 14, 2022 4:26 pm

Explain this to me......
The Huskies were not invited to the NIT, but other Pac12 teams were.

The team that is certainly deserving is Colorado.

The teams that can be questioned over the Dawgs would include:
Oregon
WSU

I've said it many times in the past, I don't care for Basketball, but I do like all Husky sports. At the end of the season, the Huskies looked better than Oregon and Washington State. They were in a tie with both of these teams as well, and played USC very tight in the Pac12 Tournament.

I guess I'm just venting, but I'd like to know why they didn't get an invite or at least why they weren't invited over the cougs.

There early season flops hurt them. We didn't beat anyone in Non Conference and we had some bad Non Conference losses. Oregon and WSU both had better over all records, so a better resume.

That is my explanation, not one that I like, as I agree with you, they should have been rewarded for how they finished the season, beating both of the teams you mentioned and, IMO, looking better in the Pac 12 Tourney than both of them as well.
