Well, that's rather non-committal.

Basically, saying that we are currently here.....for now.
I work with a lot of smart women but just seems two women deciding the fate of the Husky FOOTBALL program seems odd.
They'll do something stupid like sign on to a plan to invite Fresno St and San Jose St to join the Pac 12 and then act like everything is cool and the future is really bright for UW football when in reality the Huskies will never be a nationally competitive program again.

It is so strange. There are all these CAL/ Stanford/OR/ UW to the big.

ANd Big 12 takes 2X AZ + Ut, and Co.

WSU, OSU as the Weak sisters of the poor.

If the Pac does not expand does OSU and WSU end up in the MOuntain West conference?

The PAC 12 appears to have been mis-managed.

They had 12 powerful schools in huge markets LA #2, Bay is #6 Sea-PHnx 12,13 Denver 70 million population

and in one of the youtube bloggers, I have seen graphics that showed the other power conferences getting their revenue increased while the PAC as a whole has slid down even with Phil moneybags propping up Oregon.

The PAC has just slid down the prestige scale. It has been many years since I thought the PAC 12 had a contender.

Big 10's bigs
Iliinoise #3 market Chicago#6 state pop 12.6M
Penn St. Pennsylvania #5 state pop 12.8
Mich/Mich state Detroit #14 10M state pop
Indiana #17 state Pop 6.8M
#18 Maryland 6.2M
#7 Ohio 11.8M
#11 New Jersey 9.2M
#20 Wis 5.9
#22 Minnie 5.7
# 31 Iowa 3.1M
#37 Nebraska 2M
states total about 86 M but that is 14 schools and they have one school in Pennsylvania and you know there are other big schools there
VS
PAc 10 which I believe the 4 biggest schools are the 4 Pac 12 schools
and
BIG 12 and all those Texas schools

The way I see it, The Big 12 is even weaker than the Pac 12 after losing Texas and Oklahoma, so why not poach BYU and take advantage of their rivalry with Utah and Ok St. and we are back to having the Pac 12. Simple. OK St. and Colorado can be rivals.

i guess the rest of the PAC might bring in an expansion plan of its own and just dumb down recruitment for the "athletes".

The Pac currently has 10 schools and the leading market is #6 but also 12,13, 15, 17, etc.
Add
SDSU another major market and back in SOCAL
add Hawaii another top 100 market and 1.5 M state
UNLV Vegas 3+M state
Boise #76 metro and 2M in state pop
NM and ABQ another 2+M and another big market
Go get that Texas market
AT Arlington (Sunbelt) 46K students
ADD BYU it is an academic power that fits in with Stanford/ UW and brings in the Mormons

So that would be 8 +10

I have also seen O,W, Stan., along with USC and UCLA in a 24 team BIG super conference

Something is clear and that is being that more changes are coming.

Yes, bringing in the Mormons may well be the key to the Pac12's future success.

Its more than just looking at market size. You need to have schools with a tradition behind them to build legitimacy and buzz around your league. Adding San Diego State and UNLV is going to do nothing for the legitimacy of the Pac 12. The Ivy League is right smack in the middle of the densest population centers in the country and they are irrelevant in sports. We are screwed. We are going to have to do something like join the ACC in a hurry or we are going to find ourselves in the Mountain West.

I'd guess in the MW, we should be undefeated nearly every year.....
That would put us in the playoff every year, wouldn't it?
-That would be exposure-

We would be like Boise State. Respected but never really taken seriously because of our conference.
