Well, again, what I saw with my own eyes don't support that he has a great arm. But, I do believe this staff deserves the benefit of the doubt, if for no other reason that what they did offensively at Fresno State with Jake Haener at QB! It could be that Morris has been a bit dinged up, maybe these coaches found something in his mechanics? I mean, it was both with Jake Browning. He never really was the same his final two years after the shoulder injury, but then he gets out of school and it is reported that NFL coaches immediately found a flaw in his mechanics and he wasn't even using his legs!
I am not rooting against Morris, not by any stretch....and here is another thing to ponder. If there WAS something amiss with Morris' mechanics, do any of us think Lake or anyone on THAT offensive staff would have been able to figure it out? That was arguably the worst staff ever assembled here, and yes, I am including Kent Baer and Nick Holt's defensive staffs!
