I don't think Oregon is that good. Barely beat WSU and lost overwhelmingly to Georgia. If the Dawgs are basically the same team they are today when they meet Ducks I think they have a good chance at beating them in Autzen stadium.

I think we can beat them, but not if we are basically the same team. We have to clean up the mistakes that occurred in LA. Can't leave guys running flat out wide open, can't fumble a toss for a safety, can't get desperate and chuck a prayer into coverage because we are down a score and we certainly can't go three and a half quarters without forcing a punt or a turnover. Oregon will beat us badly if we do that. Not because they are that much better than UCLA, but because they hate us that much more. Last year Cristobal told Americal that the U of W is everything that is wrong with college football. Imagine that, Nike money calling us out! They believe it too.
I don't think we hate them even half as much as they hate us, and it has shown under many coaches. Sark, CP, Lake....the one thing I will give Slick Rick is he wanted to beat our rivals. I got the impression that Sark and CP were scared to fucking death of Oregon. And Lake was scared to death of anyone that didn't run the Air Raid.

I agree on all points. My comment was meant to suggest if we physically have the same players available, no key losses to injury etc we would have a good chance. I’m assuming DeBoer will have much of their defensive weaknesses at least partially taken care of over the next 4 games.Michael K. wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 9:21 pmI think we can beat them, but not if we are basically the same team. That makes sense. I agree. I think it was the perfect storm of shit, and UCLA still had to hang on to a one score lead. I like where this team seems to be headed.

I just happened to run across the name Stephan Cristobal in a google search. Did you know he is one of the chief shoe designers at Nike? Must be a coincidence that they would have the same last name. Nike wouldn't step so low as to hire a relative of the Oregon Ducks head coach as part of a deal would they? Oh well, I'm sure he's barely making minimum wage.Michael K. wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 9:21 pmLast year Cristobal told Americal that the U of W is everything that is wrong with college football. Don't know if they are related or not but he has worked for Nike since 2014 Long before Mario was associated with the toilet seats and his education seems legit with a degree in Industrial Product Design and special certificates dealing with footwear. He did how ever manage to snag a teaching position at Toilet Seat U in 2020 while Mario was there so there could have been a bit of string pulling there if they are indeed related.Fungo wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 4:18 amI just happened to run across the name Stephan Cristobal in a google search.
