It would not surprise me to see Pennix leave for the draft. Especially if he keeps his ranking as the top QB in the nation. The odds of his keeping that position next season are fairly low. If I were him, I'd take my stats and run with open arms to the NFL. Can't say for certain where he'd fall in the draft, but I'm guessing 2nd or 3rd round.
Him staying at UW next season would be literally the most surprising development in Sports since the 1980 USA Hockey team winning the Gold medal.

There are rankings that still don't have him in the Top 10 of eligible QBs. IF that is the case? He could stay. But if he is anywhere near being mentioned in the first two rounds? No chance.

Still, QBs are using the portal all the time. If he is gone, and Huard can't be what we thought he would be, we might not be in as bad a position as I thought. Guys are going to want to play here. Kind of like the way Neuheisel and Sark grabbed the attention of WRs and QBs, I think DeBoer will too, only at a much higher level due to the ability to bring in from the transfer portal as well.

Exactly every QB in the portal is going to know that he went from UDFA or back in 2023 to 1st or 2nd day pick. 3rd round is the floor imo. Hell they might even enter the portal because of that fact.

Not sure if you looked at his numbers last year, but very Morris like. Also, you know he isn't the starter this year, right?
