I am really not all that concerned about WR. Odunze and McMillan are decent players but I think their numbers are a product of the system and the QB that's throwing to them. I don't recall a lot of spectacular catches or amazing route running that other receivers wouldn't be able to do.
Great point. Not to mention, I believe Offensive players are going to flock here to play in this system. My hope is that defenders want to be a part of it, and know they can come here and play right away. I have even read some stuff lately critical of our edge rushers, which was supposed to be our strength. We need a huge upgrade there.

You mean that flag planting QB of their's wasn't enough to keep him around? LOL I wonder if he ends up in Colorado with everyone else?

So did Duck LB Justin Flowe - their 2nd highest rated recruit in school history. yeah i think Dawgs could use help at ILB. there's another LB from Indiana also - maybe the Penix connection could help there. also Thornton the Ducks 4-star 6-5 WR who caught the 60-yard bomb in the memorable shootout a few weeks ago.

this is a crazy wild wild west they've opened.

The top ranked guy in the portal is a corner from Virginia. Taulapapa transferred in from Virginia. Maybe he can get in his ear.

Makes sense that there are a lot of Stanford guys on that list with the coaching change, but really not much from the Pac 12. Does that mean not many are transferring, or there just aren't that many that are good?

They have until May to enter the portal. You'll probably see a bunch more once the Bowl season is done but as of now there are only 8 Pac12 players in the portal.

It will be interesting to see the story behind this. Mel isn't always in as much of the know as he thinks. It could be that a lot of teams love Penix, but told him he would be a day one pick if he stays healthy another year, and maybe only a 3rd or 4th rounder now. Kiper and McShay will change their mind about guys 75 times between now and the draft, and a lot of the guys they change their mind about have played their last actual football game.
