But...
Nice to see WSU clobber the lower division team in week 1 like "good teams" do.
Receivers all look great, as do both quarterbacks.
55-7 early in 4th quarter.

Looks like the Apple Cup could be another clash for the North division title.

Oh hell.. Houston beating Oklahoma pretty good...
I didn't realize Houston was going to be real competition.

I hope that's right, because it would mean the Cougs had another good year, but The Apple Cup has been
zero joy for Coug fans since Leach came to WSU and Peterson came to UW. Peterson had Leach's number.
And I can't tell you how greatly that pains me.

Way too much potential for Pac12 cannibalism between now and the Apple Cup for me to predict anything for WSU or UW. Some random game against an Arizona team can screw everything up.
It's hard to say how good WSU will be against a real team right now. NMState was able to move the ball pretty well despite the 7 points.

How would you like to be a NM player right now. They get absolutely drilled on the Palouse, have to fly back to NM then fly to Tuscaloosa in a couple days to play at alabama.

The buck stops at the top, but I think it might be more a case of Lake having Leach's number. The Husky defense seems to know what play the Cougs are running before the Cougs do. As a Husky fan every off season is scary for me because at some point in time Lake is gonna want to be the man, and not just a DC.
