I'm not sure if many follow this, but the Kenpom ranks is a pretty solid system in ranking teams and their performance. It works so well that over the last 8 seasons the national champion has ranked in the top 3. In its 21 years 11 national champions were ranked #1 in Kenpom, and all but 1 team were ranked in the top 10 in the Kenpom system. https://kenpom.com/index.php

So far in 2024:
Gonzaga is ranked #5 overall in Kenpom and #2 in adjusted offensive efficiency

Washington is ranked #68

Purdue is ranked #1 overall in Kenpom and #3 in the AP. #11 Gonzaga and #3 Purdue faceoff at the Maui Invitational on 10/20
