I thought that happened at UW as well but maybe it didn't take off until he went back to SC. In any case, he seemed like a stand-up guy while he was here. Now i'm feeling bad for him. Would rather see him in the NC game than a greaseball like Harbaugh or Saban.

It was really dumb running Johnson up the middle 3 times. Risk a fumble and obviously the injury that happened. Just kneel 3 times and punt with 15 seconds left. It's not rocket science.
AND throwing an incomplete pass on 3rd down when a FG puts you up two scores and giving them an extra minute. That was even dumber than the crap Pete Carroll does. Thankfully Kalen DeBoer is so damn good at everything else.
It is just mind boggling that these guys are paid millions and are just brilliant at designing highly complex formations and motions and plays but when it comes down to something like so basic and SIMPLE that every fan is screaming from their couch "Hey we are up 13 in the 4th quarter with the ball, let's run some clock and not get cute with trick plays, they throw three straight times including a trick play and have like a 57 second possession" or "Hey, the clock is running down so we want to burn their timeouts, they throw the ball" or "Hey if we just kneel down three times and punt they are going to be left with 15 seconds left and no timeouts to go 80+ yards"

All things a 13 yo kid could figure out they go completely brain dead. I laid awake last night until about 3am tossing and turning going over everything like we had lost the game. LOL Wow. Just unreal. Thank God for that last play.

Yeah for sure but I bet he was begging to finish it out
A Coach should not base decisions in a Semi final game on what their players want.

About 11 insane improbable things had to happen to put them in position to win the game and they ALL happened.

Most of the mind numbing screw ups were on the coaches but how does a kid not know to get the F away from a kid calling a fair catch on a punt. Guess what, he can't run so why would you even be near him?

Speaking of moronic play calls, you supposedly have the best college football coach of all time and Alabama runs a QB draw right into the teeth of the defense from 4 yards out on 4th down??? My God why didn't they just kneel down.

Yeah we did. If the voting was tomorrow he would have been the unanimous winner. McDaniels backup had a better game than he would have.

I am pretty confidant going into the natty. Having watched Michigan several times, I don't think they're better than Texas on either side of the ball. Looking at the stats we absolutely dominated Texas. Clean a few things up and we win that game by 3 scores.
