Terms of the offensive line, battling coaches. Let's see how popular Carroll might be.
That group has been decimated due to the departure of beloved offensive line coach Scott Huff, who is expected to follow coach Kalen DeBoer to Alabama. The Huskies subsequently hired offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Brennan Carroll, who arrived with coach Jedd Fisch from Arizona

Yeah, he just changed his X so its official now
Kalen DeBoer continues to officially bolster his Alabama staff with help from his assistants from Washington. The latest official move came when Scott Huff changed his bio on X to “University of Alabama, Offensive Line Coach.”

Seems really strange that a player would be so attached to his position coach that it would be the number one priority in deciding to move from Seattle to Alabama to compete with SEC guys for a starting spot instead of just stay and keep your starting job....

That really was the point I was trying to get at. The staff can be important in terms of recruiting. You're being recruited as starter material on a power five team you probably have visions of a pro career. Huff would be the guy that put you in the pros. He's the guy you're focused on

Huff was HIGHLY underrated - almost always got peak performance, from his unit, at or near the top of the conference despite getting outrecruited by the likes of Oregon and SC. There's a reason he was the only holdover coach retained when KDB took over, a very wise choice on his part. Was hoping he would do that again, but not sure he had the choice.

Yeah we shall see how many get drafted after getting blasted by SEC D lineman all next season. But maybe they can send a pre draft letter to all 32 NFL teams letting them know how good their O line coach was and maybe he gets some NFL job offers.

Funny thing about the NFL…you are always playing NFL guys. I remember the knock on Reggie Williams being that when ever he faced an NFL type CB in college? He put up sub par numbers. Watching our Interior O Line against Texas and Michigan, He’ll, our entire line against Michigan, and watching Penix crumble against Michigan? Seriously, besides Odunze, who played in both those games and came out with the same or better draft stock?

I am absolutely shocked that after getting rag dolled by Texans and Bama that Brailsford is taking his 270 lb frame to the SEC. I don’t care how good your O Line coach is, when a dude 100 lbs bigger than you punches you in the face? It ain’t fun.

What is shocking is that we were a few Penix mistakes and a bad holding call away from making that a game or even winning it. And that is knowing our HC had one foot out the door the entire week! We lost that game in the trenches, but basically had 18 points taken off the board by bad calls or mistakes by a QB that played flawlessly the week before!

I don’t think that O Line coach has any idea what he is about to face, and with the QB in Bama? Unless they think Mack is ready? I think that offense is in big time trouble. As for Mack? If they thought he was ready? Why’d they go after Rodgers?

They had one tough game against the #1 defense in the entire country and now you think they are going to get dominated by an entire conference? You guys are giving the SEC way too much credit. Yeah the SEC has a couple of really physical teams but they also have a lot of crap in that league. Its not like they are going to go in there and get slaughtered every single week. Other than Georgia and maybe LSU there is nobody on their schedule that is any more physical on the D-Line than teams like Oregon and Utah that they handled this year.
