Said he was too busy being Microsoft CEO to get involved. Check out how MSFT stock did during his tenure from Jan. 2000-2014 and then look at how its done since. Drove the company into the ground and it has kicked ass since he left. The Wally Walker of Businessmen. Just dumb ass luck.

When Ballmer took over MSFT the stock was ~$56 a share. When he left FOURTEEN YEARS later it was $36 a share. It is now $53 a share but still hasn't recovered from his wrath of incompetence 7 years later.
For the $2 Billion he spent on the Clips he could have bought the Sonics, built the greatest Arena in Human history and provided free attendance for the first 10 years...

Interesting. I always wondered how popular he was with the working stiffs at MS especially after those rallies where he seemed like a mentally unstable child. I doubt the East Indians were very impressed.
