There aren't any bears roaming the streets of Boston, penguins waddling on the ice floes of Pittsburgh, sabre-tooth cats hunting prey in Nashville, and Calgary is not on fire.

They totally nailed it, the whole thing. The color scheme, the primary logo, the secondary logo, the lettering. I'm going to enjoy wearing that sweater a lot more than I do my Anaheim Ducks sweater.

The logo doesn't do a lot for me. You name the team after this fantastic creature then make the logo an "S" with a red eye? F for creativity.

I for one can’t wait to throw an aquatic animal into the ice so I say Release the Kraken!! Being from Detroit and throwing out product on to the ice during the playoffs was a great memory for me.

So give the franchise the same name as the New York Mets, and also the same name as one of the NHL divisions? Not to mention it's a name that should only belong to a multi-million populated city, and also it's a boring name.
