Kraken vs Deviled Ham game thread

Post by DavidGee24 » Sun Apr 17, 2022 8:11 am

With the Mariners going up against Justin Verlander and their penchant for not even trying when there's a sentimental factor involved (see Tyler Skaggs), and the Kraken going up against a shit goalie, it was a good bet that the Squids would outscore the Sailors tonight.

Man, what a GAME. Matty Beniers is the real deal and the franchise has got to put some offensive talent around him. The kid has some serious moves and he got his first goal tonight after getting an assist in his first game. He's the anti-JK.

In the shootout Donato puts one in, Grubauer takes care of the first two, the third one hits the pipe and the Kraken win.

That's very good to hear about Beniers. I was surprised they brought him up straight from college since i thought they had a minor league system in NHL.

Not for players like Beniers. There are actually a number of 20-21 year olds who this season have scored more points than the top scorer on the Kraken. In fact, Conor McDavid was named team captain of the Oilers at 20.

Expansion draft for the newest NHL team is tonight, ushering in the offseason in earnest. How will the Kraken roster come together, and who will emerge as favorites to try and dethrone the Lightning this Fall?
