Thanks NFL for the Bend Over Broadcast Schedule
Thanks NFL for the Bend Over Broadcast Schedule
Maybe I'm just a 65-year-old guy who likes to bitch, but I'm getting so disgusted at the way the NFL, Comcast and other streaming services make people bend over with subscription after subscription just to watch the games.
You can't watch Thursday Night Football without Amazon Prime.
Last night I had sign up for Peacock to watch Bills/Chargers on the NBC "doubleheader." This after Comcast had it as a free signup, but then suddenly last night it was $5.99/mo.
Tonight, if I want to watch Denver-Patriots, I need an NFL Channel subscription.
And of course, Comcast now wants another near $1000 per year to watch the M's and Kraken on my package -- which is already almost $200 per month.
Fuck these people. They are so greedy it makes me puke.

Sorry, this shouldn't have posted in the Politics section unless I said Fuck Joe Biden.
So Fuck Joe Biden, just to be clear.
I think he is working with Comcast and Big Media to keep conservatives from watching NFL Football and drinking cheap beer.

Let's go Brandon!

The NFL is killing it's product. Many people of retirement age (sorry maoling) will be cutting back because of the expected nearly 30% inflation rate by 2024 if you add in food, transportation, and fuel costs since 2021. We just can't afford things now.
Oh, and FJB!

.
National revenue has grown 68 percent since 2016, when it was only $7.12 billion. National revenue crossed the $10 billion threshold for the first time in 2021.
Commissioner Roger Goodell has set a goal of $25 billion in total annual revenue by 2027

Nope, they'd like you to believe that. I was paying $176 per month for cable and internet with Comcast and that included ROOT. When they yanked the ROOT (two hours before the Kraken opener, fuckfaces that they are) I called. To get ROOT, my new package was going up to about $250 mo.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Dec 27, 2023 7:12 pmI thought the ROOT sports package was $18 a month?maoling wrote: ↑Mon Dec 25, 2023 2:02 amMaybe I'm just a 65-year-old guy who likes to bitch, but I'm getting so disgusted at the way the NFL, Comcast and other streaming services make people bend over with subscription after subscription just to watch the games.

I agree with the sentiment, but none of these services are actually necessary if you know the work arounds. The only thing you actually need is an internet connection.
