Re: 2024 Election.
I didn't come up with it, but heck why not, richest guy in the world, all that futuristic tech and armies of engineers. He's Tony Stark in the flesh. The personality, come on, he's dying to rule the world. The age of the autocrats, got the drama. Disclaimer, I buy my internet from him. Believe me, Musk is the sort of guy that welcomes conspiracy theories about him. Like Trump, he's about the attention, he wants people talking about him.
Re: 2024 Election.
You can't make this stuff up - a billion dollar war chest - literally paying for celebrity endorsements - still can't pay it all off.
You could not possibly come up with e better kamalanomics metaphor - she literally was buying celebrity endorsements - kinda like opening the border to buy votes from illegals - now she can't even pay off her debt - and she wants to be in charge of the economy. LMAO! Buying votes instead of doing the only thing anyone cared about = sensible policy. Buying votes and still losing. I wonder it certain folks have figured it out yet - people care about policy, not CNN's left wing fearmongering.
Also, CNN going through massive downsizing. How hilarious would it be if Elon bought it and made it right wing - suppressed all left wing voices, all dem voices, called them racists, totally lied about dems, took everything out of context. Funny thing is, liberals could not complain - they were good with all of that when it served them. That's what they don't get - it eventually cuts both ways - then they'll scream about 'victimhood' while we sit and laugh in their faces saying "hey, this is what YOU wanted, remember?"
To be clear, I don't want it leaning either way, but it'd be really cool if he did buy it and returned it to strictly objective reporting.

Re: 2024 Election.
It does cut both ways, so there's nothing particularly special about Musk bringing freedom of speech to Twitter, it's more about deciding what speech you want to listen to. He wants to do it with CNN then go for it, the issue is can he make money at it. So far he hasn't with the Twitter purchase, believe me, that's what it's about. The election probably helps him out
Re: 2024 Election.
I don't think he bought twitter for the money - I think he bought it to balance the power of speech in the US - they were blatantly censoring valid voices, valid info and valid POV's - all in service to the Dems. I have no idea if it makes money or not, but theoretically it would seem to make more sense to appeal to a wider audience and that is going to be found in the center - so appealing to both sides allows everyone inclusion - and more views = more money - and that's where he could potentially take CNN - back to it's roots. The bigger problem is that the brand is so tainted from years and years of misinformation, disinformation, censorship and fear mongering, that in the new age of the rise of the podcast and alternative media options, it may just be a sunsetting dinosaur of media. It'll be interesting to see where traditional media goes - especially in the new era of low attention span and 10-second windows of opportunity to influence. Taking CNN back to it's roots would be a great start, but it may be too late. It would be very interesting how pharma advertising is addressed in an admin that will have RFK in it. That will be a big issue going forward - pharma influencing media narratives.

Yeah, he spoke about it being the town square and all that. But in the end it was a business deal, he has investors with him, they expect to make money. It be the same with CNN
"I think it's an asset that has just sort of languished for a long time but has incredible potential, although obviously myself and the other investors are overpaying for Twitter right now," he added.

It's not about deciding what speech you want to listen to when they shut down one side of the conversation.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 4:27 pmIt does cut both ways, so there's nothing particularly special about Musk bringing freedom of speech to Twitter, it's more about deciding what speech you want to listen to. They can't control X now and their narrative gets exposed immediately.
Surely even a lib can understand that.

Musk controls the speech now, he kicks people off he feels don't agree with him, it's his platform but that's not exactly free speech
Re: 2024 Election.
wtf??? No he doesn't. I don't follow any but I still see lots of lib loons on my TL.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 6:25 pmMusk controls the speech now, he kicks people off he feels don't agree with him, it's his platform but that's not exactly free speech

Re: 2024 Election.
There are absolutely people getting banned from X and having their free speech violated still, but it's not the libs.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 6:25 pmMusk controls the speech now, he kicks people off he feels don't agree with him, it's his platform but that's not exactly free speech
I don't believe Musk does it.
But the zionist CEO he hired does still police speech.
Try making an X post where you say nothing else but "Synagogue of Satan" (see below).
You'll be censored within one minute.
That's why, the same way we knew before that libs were in control, we've narrowed it down and know who controls things now.
To find out who rules over you, find out who you aren't allowed to criticize.
People who claim to be Jews (followers of the Torah), but are not (they're followers of the Talmud).
The end times of the Bible even talks about these people-

Here's a guardian piece on it if you want to bother, calling him a hypocrite. I'm not concerned, I don't use X or whatever it is, but I don't see musk as a Free speech savior, he seems pretty thin skinned actually. The guardian just left X, Musk didn't seem to mind. The current issue seems to be him using X to promote Trump
