On this we agree. "Executive Orders" are self defining. They are only Constitutional within the Executive Branch. That said, the "orders" carry a bully pulpit character. Reorganizing and or eliminating USAID will involve Congress via funding. Trump has the Cabinet tools to shred the mission.
Rule of thumb: Everything that comes and goes through the US border is an Executive Branch concern. And the executive branch is essentially one person. There are no secrets or areas of US Government activity beyond the tenure of a sitting President.
We are finding out how USAID as a deep state front has bankrolled propaganda, lawfare, and the NGO's of DEI/ open border, and continued meddling in foreign elections. Even the US Embassies in various parts of the world opine USAID unilaterally damaging foreign relation with their cultural incursions. The DNC is apoplectic because the cabal that animates them is under siege and they have no back up. They are/ were even planning 'another' impeachment.
A cynical conservative once said: "National Defence is doing to other nations what we won't let our government do to us"
USAID represents 180 degrees of that notion. And this is why we are not merely correcting the flaws of a Bi-Dung presidency. We are uprooting the rotten growth that goes back to the Bush's.

Some Musk opportunism, his previous position on global warming

Concern over the climate crisis is seemingly no longer one of Musk’s priorities, despite previously saying he is “super pro-climate” and in 2016 calling for a “popular uprising” against the fossil fuel industry because the world was “unavoidably headed toward some level of harm and the sooner we can take action, the less harm will result”.

When Trump removed the US from the Paris climate agreement in 2017, Musk said he was quitting a presidential advisory body in protest. “Climate change is real,” he tweeted at the time. “Leaving Paris is not good for America or the world.”

He also took the vaccine.

Nobody says billionaires are infallible.

Hopefully he's realized he's wrong about climate change just like he realized he was wrong about the vaccine.

But neither are relevant to his task of rooting out government waste.

Sure, people are free to change their minds, the question is why do they. I doubt musk decided he was wrong as much as he realized there was opportunity in changing it. You will claim you don't care but there is an aspect to weighing a belief system. Is it more about true belief or is it about changing opportunities.

I absolutely do care. If the climate-change BS doesn't get kicked to the curb, I'll see it as a major problem.

I don't have any special allegiance to Musk. Or Trump for that matter.

This dismantling of government corruption is exactly what I voted for. Continuing to send weapons and gift wrap Gaza for the Israelis is a major problem.

Old men support Israel. That's pretty much a given at this point.

Once they're no longer running things, Israel is screwed because nobody's buying their perpetual victimhood status anymore.

I'm reminded of the fact that neither Trump nor Musk are gaining money from the DOGE endeavor. In fact Musk is not receiving a paycheck and Trump is working for $0. The true definition of public servants.

Oh yeah, but liberals say Musk was never 'elected to office...and thats right, He's The Presidents personal auditor.
