No dude. I personally hate slavery at every level...:
Chinese labor and their laws, and how the American businesses take advantage of that.
African mining for the precious minerals to make the batteries for EV's, and all the pollution that causes.

I guess I don't understand how you can't understand that other countries placing tariffs on US products, forcing their citizens to buy local, but us placing tariffs on their products is a bad thing.

I have no issues with HUGE tariffs on Chinese products..... seriously, who is this going to affect? Nike, iPhone, Walmart. People have a choice to either purchase foreign products or local products.

But, it's been nice talking with you Gil.

I just read that Temu will stop shipping to the US due to the tariffs.

Is that good or bad for US businesses?

Removing people here illegally: Incomplete
What's your take on someone from another "country" that lives in my home full time. They never set foot outside my home. Is that okay, or illegal?

The POTUS has zero power to do anything they just follow their instructions.

Politics never changes the course of government. Government only moves in one direction.

Only thing that has any impact on government is non compliance of the people that outnumber the "leaders" by massive amounts.

I will consider President Trump's administration successful on this item if it focuses on getting rid of criminals, especially violent criminals. I guess the person who never leaves your home could be *technically* illegal, but I hope deporting him or her would not be a priority. Unless of course, if that person starts posting pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel stuff online. Then, I suspect ICE will want a word. :(

Is Temu essentially an Amazon competitor? If they stop shipping because if tariffs, I suspect the results will be fewer choices and higher prices for Americans. I personally would not buy anything from Temu, but that is my personal choice. The net effect of fewer choices and higher prices is negative for Americans.

Trump.
Balls of steel.
Might not get everything he wants.
But at least fighting for U.S. interests.

Media: "Is there something the Prime Minister could say to you that would change your mind about tariffs on Canada?"
Trump: "No".
Media: "Why not?"
Trump: "Because that's the way it is!"
Pronouns: Kiss/My/Ass

China has stolen literally trillions of dollars worth of intellectual property, R&D, technology with military applications, etc. etc. etc. from this country thanks to 30 years of mostly horrifically irresponsible leadership by the various administrations. And the greed and influence of those who run corporate America has prevented any measures from being implemented to stop it. China has also engaged in currency manipulation and virtual slave labor to make it nearly impossible for manufacturers in the U.S. to compete. This has to end. The Democrat party along with many establishment Republicans has turned a blind eye and were perfectly content to lead us all off a cliff with regard to the burgening debt situation. I hope Trump continues (and increases) the tariffs and puts into motion a plan to remove all U.S. business/manufacturing from China within 5 years.

I'm reading that Trump has suggest lowering the tariffs on China from over 100% to less than 100%. I don't know what he is thinking, but I'm glad I haven't been keeping track of tariffs in ink. :?

We (collectively) made horrible mistakes in letting American manufacturing go into decline. From heavy industry to robotics, it seems that American companies were too focused on short-term financial gains rather than making investments in improving their capabilities. As I see it, if a Democratic president had stepped in with a heavy hand to make the kinds of investments we needed to make, he would have been called a socialist.
