That particular statement was in regards to the claim that $50 million was spent sending condoms to gaza. This was not an off hand remark, and it wasn't true. Musk and Doge have made a number of baseless claims, it's a tactic of disinformation .
His comments followed claims by US President Donald Trump, who earlier this month alleged that his administration had “identified and stopped $50 million being sent to Gaza to buy condoms for Hamas.”

The claim was first announced by White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt in her first press briefing, saying the Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) had found “that there was about to be 50 million taxpayer dollars that went out the door to fund condoms in Gaza.” However, the administration provided no evidence to support the assertion.
Okay, another one, Musk commented
"The limiting factor is the speed at which the mine shaft elevator can move determines how many people can retire from the federal government, and the elevator breaks down sometimes, and then nobody can retire."

That same day, Musk's department posted about the mine on X.

"Federal employee retirements are processed using paper, by hand, in an old limestone mine in Pennsylvania. 700+ mine workers operate 230 feet underground to process ~10,000 applications per month, which are stored in manila envelopes76 and cardboard boxes. The retirement process takes multiple months."
What he's referring to is iron mountain data, which does have underground storage facilities but not miners and mine shafts, that's just funny

You know you don't need to be a democrat to question what Musk is up to with doge. Mark Cuban isn't a particular fan.
Musk has referred to himself and DOGE as "tech support" for the federal government focused on updating outdated systems. Cuban told the podcast's host, Palmeri, that Musk's version of tech support wasn't only affecting the people he accuses of fraud.

For example, he said, DOGE's efforts to root out fraud and convert systems in the Social Security Administration have made it harder for some beneficiaries to get the services they need.

"You don't just make it more difficult for them," he added. "You implement things that allow them to access the system. That's just normal in any system conversion."

It's "tech 101," the "Shark Tank" star said, adding that Musk would be fired immediately in tech support for dismantling existing systems before rolling out replacements.
I don't bother looking at Cuban often but I find him interesting when I do, when it comes to billionaires, I'm more in the Cuban camp than Musk
Where did musk lie? You literally haven't proven anything. Where are all these narratives? You're just cutting and pasting alt POV's - you know, like you always do. None of your hilarious cut and pastes prove he lied about anything - nor did he create any 'narratives to hurt the other side' as YOU CLAIMED he did. But, triple down on the dumb now - PLEASE!

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Let's get back to original intent. This started with bidens cancer diagnosis and it being considered a lie because it's surmised that it was withheld. Where's your evidence exactly?

Then this got posted
. Basically anyone that lies about anything to get power for themselves or to force a narrative to hurt the other side
And I responded because to believe only democrats could fit that definition is at is simplest naive. I can come up with any number of situations where musk came up with narratives that were patently false, This is what's so ridiculous, you want to view bidens diagnosis as some sort of smoking gun but when confronted with republicans lieing to you, you run around with your hands over your ears screaming naaaaa! It's fine with me buddy, good luck with it Buddy

It looks like annual PSA tests are recommended for men 55-69. https://www.cdc.gov/prostate-cancer/scr ... eened.html

Over 70? I'm trying to figure out why not have the information. (I have lab work done every 6 months, and adding another test doesn't seem like a big deal.) My suspicion is that because [1] most prostate cancers grow very slowly and [2] such a higher percentage of older men have these slow growing cancers, the benefit to doing the test is seen as lower than the cost, but ... ? I can't believe that any patient *with symptoms* of prostate problems would not get follow up checks, either PSA or digital-rectal exams.

I agree with you. I think both sides rush to attack the other side, taking a single instance, and arguing that it proves the grand point of dishonesty, corruption, etc. Neither side seems willing to concede that either their leader or any of their people made a mistake. Both sides see a good group of people and a bad group of people.

I am over 70 as well, gil. And My oncologist as well as my GP doctor do PSA tests on me. Basically because I had prostate cancer in the past. I seriously doubt either one will desist doing the tests. Sure, I suppose you can tell your doctor(s) once you are over 70 to stop taking the tests. But why would you? Last I checked, we haven't seen an immortal in something around 2000 years ago. Anyone, no matter their age, who stops with the PSA tests is stooooopid!

"When you look at what's happening with Russia and Ukraine the drone is killing tremendous numbers of people," Trump said during a press conference in Doha, Qatar. "You hide behind a tree and the drone comes down and it circles you with fire. You don't have a chance and the tree comes down also by the way."

"It's so intense the— I mean you see these trees being knocked down like..." he continued. "Like they're being sawed down by a top of the line, uhh, timberman like... Like... You know who? Sean... Duffy."

"Do you know that Sean Duffy, the head of the Transportation Department, who's working right now on the airports and getting a system because Biden didn't do a thing for four years and Pete Buttigieg was the head and he goes bicycling to work," said Trump.

"He takes a bicycle to work, can you believe it? He's head— He's running the biggest air system in the world and he takes a bicycle to work. What a— And they say he's going to run for president, I don't see it." Trump went on. "Who knows right? But I don't see it."

"But, uh, when I look at what they've done uh, it's so horrible what they've done and the work they did do they wasted billions of dollars," Trump went on. "They tried to hook up air systems to... To copper. They tried to hook up copper to glass and the glass doesn't work with the copper and..."

"Uh they had 30,000 different contractors doing 30,000 jobs and when they put it all together they spent billions of dollars. It didn't even come close to working and we're going to be giving out a brand new system," said Trump.

"It's very important. We'll have the best system. And we think we know who that system is but we have a lot of bidding," he went on.
"But we want one check," he continued. "We want a unified system. We don't have, uh, 5,000 contractors and all different places, some digging ditches and some not doing ditches because they want to go by satellite. Satellite seems to be the way to go. We're going to be giving that out pretty soon."

"But what people don't know about Sean cause I mentioned lumberjacks that Sean — you probably didn't know this that uh — I'm not talking about this Sean, this Sean no, not, this is not... This is a different Sean," Trump said.

"Sean Duffy, the head of Transportation. He's a great Sean though, I have to tell you but Sean Duffy was the world champion for five years climbing trees and down, up and down, world champion!" Trump said. "So that's what you call a serious a lumberjack."

"And he's doing a fantastic job too, a really respected guy and terrific guy and I mentioned the champion because when somebody's the champion — he's the world champion for a long time — he came down, when you come down those trees, coming down at a rapid... He said that started getting your back. You will often break your back! You... You miss... You miss a shot and you're coming down a lot faster than the human body was meant to come down. But he's doing a fantastic job at Transportation. But this has been a very, uh, historic trip."

Trump to West Point Grads:

“He ended up getting a divorce, found a new wife. Could you say a trophy wife? I guess we can say a trophy wife,” Trump said.

“It didn’t work out too well,” he went on. “But that doesn’t work out too well, I must tell you, a lot of trophy wives, it doesn’t it work. But it made him happy for a little while, at least.”

"But he found a new wife, he sold his little boat and he got a big yacht; he had one of the biggest yachts anywhere in the world. He moved for a time to Monte Carlo, and he led the good life... and time went by and he got bored and 15 years later, the company that he sold to called him and they said, 'The housing business is not for us.'"

Thus the reason, I don't believe either side..... but my moral compass is more in line with the "R" than the "D".

Other reasons.....:
Who is outraged at DOGE trying to find out where the waste is going?
That's right, the Dim's. Why do you think that is? Kickbacks maybe? Do you truly believe Kalamity Harris really got over a billion dollars in donations from 'the middle class'?

"I don't believe either side."

**Only ever questions Democrats** **Believes Trump pisses gold and that his shit smells like roses**

Lol... ya, totally believable.

It couldn't be DOGE weaponizing budget cuts in areas of political bias rather than putting in a good faith effort. No... it's b/c Kamala Harris's fake donations

Least people hit Musk right where it hurts... sent him crying back to try to save Tesla. 71% drop in earnings per share. Fuck that bitch.

I have a friend who is a nurse that works for a government hospital. Every day she preps the room and makes sure serious, life-altering surgeries go off without a hitch. When DOGE formed she got an email stating that she needed to highlight 5 things she did that week to prove productivity alongside a threat that she would be fired from her job if she did not comply.

Aren't ya'll supposed to be the party of small government and keep your hands out of personal business? Needless to say she didn't fill it out and DOGE quickly backed off the policy cause they got murdered for it... but yes, "Who is outraged at DOGE trying to find out where the waste is going?"
