Conservatives who hate on California and Seattle are like the fat woman critiquing the model on the runway.
What? Have you been to Seattle lately? Like, downtown? I have no fucking clue how anyone could try and say that isn't a shit show, and that anyone that criticizes it is nuts. Dude....what the fuck?
He will just go against anything that a sensible person (or conservative) would say or believe. He is so full of anger, I don't know if he truly believes his bullshit or just trying to start a fight.

Although I didn't live in Seattle in the 1990's, I did live in Bellevue. My job took me to Seattle often to permit many construction projects. I can tell you that every time I had to go to the Building Department the entire area smelled of pot and urine (with some homeless hanging about). Now keep in mind that was back in the 90's when rec. pot and homelessness wasn't such a big thing. There is no doubt in my mind it has only gotten worse since the 90's.

I was in San Francisco just last year. My job required a site inspection of a facility on Van Ness Avenue, and I can tell you that I spent way too much time trying to avoid the needles, human waste and urine on the sidewalk than what should have been needed. I didn't know what to do when a homeless man started to take a piss on the sidewalk 15 feet away from where I was working.

That is why people call these places SHITHOLES.

Oakland, they do smash and grabs if you have anything in your car....in broad daylight.

Here in Denver, it's almost a given among most everyone I know, to avoid downtown Denver at all costs.

It's crime-laden, disgusting, and filled with homeless people.

Not at the rates of LA, SF, or Portland/Seattle, but still pretty scary.

I guess SOB thinks we shouldn't believe what our own eyes can see, and noses can smell.

I think that with Seattle it's a good city in that big businesses headquarter themselves there, it has a strong economy, lots of people moving there, and the surrounding area is very nice, but also has a huge homeless problem and a property crime rate that's become one of the worst when compared to the other 99 cities in the US that are the 100 most populated and a violent crime rate that's about in the middle whereas it used to be one of the best. Sound reasonable?

Redmond's own Microsoft cancelling giant "Build" conferences in Seattle going forward due to crime, drugs, rioting, unsafe conditions. Here's Seattle's own Brandi Kruse discussing. More evidence that, when shit is unsafe due to governmental incompetence, or intentionally destructive policies - people and businesses leave. All the money this would generate for the community during the event - gone. There are consequences for bad policy.

It really boils down to this choice: are these politicians really this incompetent, or are their bad policies done by design? Which is the better choice? Eventually common sense has to take over - looking up and down the entire west coast - all strangled to death under brutally bad Dem policies.
Anyone forgotten Portland's "80 days of rioting" during covid? Imagine the financial loss. At some point do have to do the math.

Orange County, where I lived for 27 years (I'm now in Los Angeles County), is about 50/50 red/blue. Honolulu's and San Diego's politics are pretty much irrelevant as they're awesome places to live.

What surprises me is how expensive Brooklyn and Queens are. Do a Zillow search on houses for sale in those two boroughs, pretty much every one of them you'd be all, no way in hell would I live in a dump like that. Not to mention the apartments you see depicted on TV and in movies, you're always expecting to see a chalk outline like in Coming To America.

I'm not so sure it really matters about the area, or how nice it is to live there. All those States are considered blue. No coincidence.

Orange County is not like LA county - it's a world away and is much more into law and order and "conservative" I suppose. "Non-insane-leftist" is more apt. I would be surprised if it wasn't red. No 'protests' happening in Newport Beach or Laguna. Lot's of vocal Trump supporters for sure. I've seen trump rallies all over LA - even in BH. Never seen a Harris or Biden rally - literally - ever.
