Yes. I think Iran would try to use this plane crash as a way to gain sympathy on the world stage. OTOH some rogue operators could have booby trapped the plane, then "plant" US missile fragments in the debris field.. The timing of this is too much of a coincidence for me to rule out a diabolical cause.

True, and it's so weird. That would just be about the biggest coincidence ever if the engine just blew out.

As for Moe, he's alluding to a time he cut-and-pasted some stuff from Stormfront on the Times Forum and even though I said I didn't care he thought he was winning some sort of argument about white supremacy. He definitely gave the Straw Man PTSD that day.

I find it hard to believe Iran would do what seems like such a Rookie Mistake.
I believe we have tactical imagery interpretation equipment that can positively ID amazing details on the ground from way up high...so it's possible we can see incriminating evidence almost as well as an investigator can on foot while at the scene.
