Many illegals have regular jobs where deductions are taken out of their checks. I don't think they get them back. Some pay their taxes from cash jobs because they feel it will help them gain legal status, by law they are required to, everybody is. I guess they can get a ITIN . A study published in 2022 claimed they pay $100 billion in taxes annually

Also more than half the illegals are people that entered legally but overstayed
