Sure but this point there are libs that would argue there is life on the Sun if it was a way to keep Trump out of office which they say will end democracy.
This is so delusional and ironic but really demonstrates perfectly the anti Trump libs. This person actually believes what they are saying and is likely oblivious to the fact that they now have to let the voters decide to save a democracy instead of the preferred method which is to use anti democratic tactics to "save" democracy.
Griswold later registered "disappointment" with the decision in an interview with NBC's Katy Tur on MSNBC. "I do believe that states should be able under our Constitution to bar oath-breaking insurrectionists,” Griswold told Katy. “And ultimately, this decision leaves open or leaves open the door for Congress to act to pass authorizing legislation. But we know that Congress is a nearly non-functioning body, so ultimately, it will be up to the American voters to save our democracy in November.”
It's what they claimed they decided the case on. It's not that they really decided the issues of the case as much as a way to dance around it. It's what they will do if possible. I didn't expect them to rule in favor of taking him off the ballot, it's interesting how they came up with a ruling. Theoretically still leaves the door open
"Because the Constitution makes Congress, rather than the states, responsible for enforcing section 3 against all federal officeholders and candidates, we reverse," the ruling said
So next up Trump's claim of immunity, that's really the important one isn't it
