Here is the spectrum on Vaxs as I see it (from left to right, with 1 being far left, 6 is the middle and 10 being far right) I would be 7.

1. Anti Vaxers should be executed. (Actually saw a guy tweet this)
2. Anti Vaxers should not be treated at hospitals and they are guilty of at least manslaughter
3. There should be a nation wide vax mandate and mask mandate
4. Pro vax and can't understand why people don't get vaxxed but don't feel strongly about vax mandates
5. Vaccinated but and think everyone should get vaccinated. Slightly annoyed at those that don't
6. Vaccinated for work or some other reason but don't care what others do. Wear masks when it makes sense to do so.
7. Might be vaccinated are very anti vax mandate
8. Not vaccinated because they think they are healthy, don't fear covid, faith in their immune system, belief in freedom to make own health choices
9. Think that the vax will start killing people in large numbers very soon
10. Think that the vax will kill AND their is a micro chip that will track your every move until you eventually die from it.
You broke it down very well dt.

I'm a solid 8.

I don't think people WILL get sick and/or die.

I just don't know for sure that they won't- we can't even see the ingredients- and given the early legal immunity that was given to the vax companies (where nobody could sue if anything did happen), I didn't see any reason to get the vax given the early info that showed what groups were at risk.

Seems as straightforward now as it did then.

The numbers and risk groups never changed, the hysteria just grew with the constant media and political attention.

The people who have been vaccinated should hope that they will now catch covid because they will then have much greater immunity to future variants and won't need an additional booster shot every few months.

It works for voting, so just mail the vaccine to everyone, and we'll self-verify that we did it the right way and send the card back. No lines, 100% compliance.

I'm conflicted about where I am. I could probably enjoy having a beer and talking with anyone who wasn't a 1 or 2.

When I was as high school punk, I was completely for individual freedom. Don't tell me what to do, what to say, what to wear, how to drive. Just live your own life and mind your own business. I still believe those things, but it's less "pure" because I see how one person's individual freedom can conflict with another person's individual freedom. Sort of like drinking and driving. Don't tell me I can't drink, and don't tell me I can't drive. But I understand why society say I can't drink AND drive at the same time.

I still instinctively rebel against being told what to do, and most people I know do too. I just wish people would *voluntarily* take steps to stop spreading the fucking virus. I don't care if people expose themselves to it, but it does piss me off that people use the argument for individual liberty as an excuse to put others in danger. I have a friend in California who is unvaxed and has a fake vaccine passport. I'm fine that he takes risks for himself and his family. His choice. I'm not fine that he is more likely (because of being unvaxed) to be spreading the virus to other people, and is essentially lying about that in public settings.
If the vax prevented spread and infection then the premise that those that refused it exacerbated the pandemic would be 100% accurate, but now that theory has been completely eviscerated. The only person you MIGHT be helping is yourself due to more mild to moderate disease if infected.

And that is coming from someone coming up on a quarter century in the Bio Pharma industry.
If I understand what you are saying, you don't think that infections are lower among the vaccinated? From what I read, the vaccine is certainly not 100% effective, but it's more than zero.

I read this Seattle times article the other day https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-wor ... ctors-say/ which reported 37% of new infections in Massachusetts as being among vaccinated people. With 74% of people in the Commonwealth being vaccinated, my quick calculation says that vaccinated people are approx. 1/5 as likely to get infected. Is this wrong?
I think it may have been true with the original and Delta variants but we have had massive out breaks on Sports teams with 95%-100% vax rates which tells me it offers close to zero protection.

I guess I'm kind of a 9. I don't think the vax will [soon] start to kill people in large numbers, but I do believe years down the road there will be a price to pay for an untested chemical compound that the pharma-companies are wanting to pump into peoples bodies.

I think they actually love getting the booster shot and the "HIGH" of the side effects that comes with it. Kind of like a Virtuous Heroin addict. lol

Ben Shapiro
@benshapiro
So once it became clear that covid was not in fact a pagan god visiting vengeance on the unwashed Trump voters alone, the media and Democrats are now willing to admit the following:

Those of us in reality have been saying all this for months and most of it since May 2020. But your political priors were more important than the data. You had to have your demonization narrative.

We chose data and freedom. You chose alarmism and unearned moral superiority. Stay in NY, NJ, CA, and the rest -- and enjoy the actual paranoid nanny state you created among your friends who reward you for telling them they will kill their kids and grandma if they don't panic.

8. Not vaccinated because they think they are healthy, don't fear covid, faith in their immune system, belief in freedom to make own health choices
9. Think that the (side effects of the) vax (are only beginning got be seen and felt) in large numbers very soon
These two - however I do not think there is anything nefarious about the vax. I do not believe the vax is intentionally designed to cause damage - however - vaxxes are generally tested out for 5-10 years before hitting market - as are all pharma products. Doing the math, something that has only been vetted for months, rather than years, means we do not know the long term health effects - the EXACT reason they are NOT rushed to market. If you are not leery about medicine rushed to the masses without any understanding of the potential side effects, I don't understand your thinking. This is pure risk - except for the big pharma who are not even liable for your death because it was 'emergency circumstances.'

Using your own judgement when considering putting something in your body, seems like the most common sense move of all time. Look around, this country is run by the morons and the greedy - why the fuck would you just 'take their word' for anything? I cannot fathom that thinking.

In the interest of keeping everyone healthy in the new year, please pay attention to some disturbing new symptoms associated with Omicron.

Stay scared, America :D
